Check Out Brooklyn Gabby’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklyn Gabby.

Brooklyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started posting content for brands on social media when I was 12 and have been doing so ever since. I have spent a lot of time in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami walking in fashion week and collaborating with people and brands. Over the past few years, I have been living in South Florida and attending school down here. Last year, I became a Miami Hurricane and have loved every moment of it! There is nothing quite like game day at Hard Rock! As I continue to pursue my MBA, I am also creating more meaningful content and working to use my platform to connect and relate with my audience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While there is nothing else I would rather do, this journey has definitely had its highs and its lows. The best way to get through the lows is to remind yourself that you are winning by not quitting. Being able to persevere and continue to pursue what I love has made me stronger and also more grateful for the highs that come along. I have also been able to learn from these lows and adapt from them and create better content because of these experiences.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been able to use my platform to share my opinion and personal voice with my audience on trending topics. Before I started doing this, I did not think anyone wanted to listen to me talk online and I honestly did not know what to even say. I am shocked and so excited to be sharing my voice now and to find out that people actually do want to hear what I have to say! Aside from creating social media content, in my free time I am very creative and love graphic design!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
There are moments that I have been blessed with things when I feel lost or in need of direction. Especially when I am going through a longer low patch, I will pray about it and try to stay open to new ideas and experiences. Sometimes out of nowhere something will just hit and take off when I least expect it. This gives me the motivation and the encouragement that I am on the right path and doing what I am meant to do. I don’t really believe in luck. When I want something I just get very specific about trying to get it and work really hard to make it happen. What some people on the outside might see as luck is actually intricately planned and strategized.
