Check Out Briggitte Pascual’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briggitte Pascual.

Hi Briggitte, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a single mom who wanted a better life for my son and me. Photography found me back in my junior year of high school, in a film photography class. From the moment I developed my first image in the darkroom, I was captivated how a single photo could hold emotion, light, and story all at once. I went on to study photography, but life took me in a different direction. I started working in banking because it offered stability and consistency, which I needed at the time. Eventually, I got used to the rhythm of a steady paycheck and slowly drifted away from the creative part of myself that once made me feel alive.

After the pandemic, something inside me shifted. I realized how short life is and how much I missed creating. So I picked up my old 2010 camera, started charging $50 a session, and told myself, “Let’s just see where this goes.” I poured everything into it, my passion, my time, my heart. What began as a small side hustle turned into a dream I didn’t even know I was rebuilding.

Four years later, I’ve built a photography business that allows me to capture love, connection, and real emotion. I photograph couples, weddings, and families. the beautiful, fleeting moments that make life what it is. My goal has always been simple: to help people see how beautiful they truly are, through my eyes and my lens. Because photography isn’t just about taking pictures it’s about seeing yourself the way you were always meant to.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s so much that goes into building a photography business that people don’t always see. From investing in new gear and editing subscriptions to designing a website and creating an online experience that feels special for every client I’ve done it all on my own. There were moments of trial and error, late nights of learning, and times I questioned if I was doing it right.

But every challenge taught me something. Every upgrade, every edit, every session helped me grow. It takes a lot of heart, patience, and persistence to build something from the ground up but looking back, it was all worth it. Because now, I get to create not just beautiful photos, but beautiful experiences for the people who trust me to capture their memories.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a photographer who specializes in engagement and wedding photography capturing love stories in their most natural, honest form. I’m proud of every part of my journey, from where I started to where I am today. What sets me apart is that I genuinely love love. I photograph couples the way I would want to be captured on my own wedding day (one day) with emotion, depth, and warmth.

To me, life is a movie, and every couple, every family, every laugh and tear deserves to be framed like a scene worth remembering. I’m very in tune with my emotions, and I believe that’s what allows me to connect deeply with my clients. I don’t just take photos, I tell stories through light, movement, and feeling. I see beauty in everyday life, even in the quiet, unposed moments, and that’s what I aim to share through my work.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve definitely taken risks, even while staying in banking. Starting my photography business on the side was one of the biggest leaps I’ve ever taken. I was juggling a full-time job, being a mom, and trying to build something from the ground up. Every investment felt like a gamble from buying new gear and paying for editing subscriptions to trusting that people would see the value in what I offered.

For me, risk isn’t always about quitting everything and starting over. It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone even when life already feels full. I took risks with my time, my finances, and my energy, but each one taught me something about dedication and believing in myself.

I’ve learned that the biggest rewards often come from quiet courage from choosing to try, even when it would’ve been easier to play it safe.
