Check Out Alden Moses’ Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Alden Moses.

Alden Moses

Hi Alden, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
March 22nd, 1972 in Harlem Hospital is when Alden Moses Ak Legacy Now ButtaRaspy. Residing in the Bronx, and I remember the day when I left there at 4 years old. While leaving the Bronx In NYC the building across from us was burning down. I then moved to our new house in Hollis, Queens, NYC. I used to sneak and listen to Soul Sonic Forces the Planet rock on my parents’ old-style stereo.

The stereo played records, regular radio, and 8-track tapes all in one. It looked like a dresser I then started listening to the late-night underground radio shows. Shows like the awesome two video shows like video music box Stretch & Bobbito I fell in love with hip hop with those sounds. Then came Run Dmc. They were from Hollis and I had started to try to write raps as kid Kool before I heard Run DMC was from Hollis.

When I found out, it was actually people I knew. From the same neighborhood I see regularly on a walk home from school. That was it I was destined to do this and make a career out of it, after Run Dmc claim to stardom. I most definitely wanted a piece after I felt the power of rap. Super expression with perks is what I viewed it as. And still have more responsibility now, though, in how I purvey my art nowadays.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a fun, rough, learning, and challenging experience for me as an artist. Dealing with groups and personalities has always made things uneasy for the most part.

The music I specialize in is hip hop and hip is definitely competitive. I believe we get to competitive even as partners in a group. This definitely hurts groups and the growth of a bigger movement most of the time. And you can’t do it yourself and be successful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known as an emcee from Hollis Queens Nyc coming out of the Run DMC Era and neighborhood. I specialize in writing and creating the most authentic and original hip-hop known to humankind. I just love hooks, heavy beats, and lyrics. I’m a music head. Period dope music makes me happy.

What sets me apart will be my experience in the game. My seasoned, authentic attack on tracks. My realist vibes in real life were brought to the Beats. My voice after you here a couple of times they’ll be like that that’s some Butta, Br, Raspy, he bodied that flow sick. It’s all in the flow word play and beats.

I feel most proud about my 1 and only album out now, Titled And Ya Don’t Stop. I have three videos from that album. I have a hard Parrish Smith Feat Veteran Emcee From the group EPMD AKA PMD. I have a lot of songs before my album. But I only dropped one collective piece of work thus far. I’m working on 1 now. I’m not sure of the title, but it’s coming.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m not a risk taker like I used to be.

But I’ve taken some risk that I’m actually finally getting paid back from. Spending endless studio time and videos. I’ve lost jobs in the past and so forth. Spent way above my means. Like I said, some of it is actually coming back now.
