We recently had the chance to connect with Bryant August and have shared our conversation below.
Bryant , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Energy is most important to me, but integrity is valuable on a local and national level.
The way I move with a purpose today is advantageous for tomorrow.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a producer, singer, songwriter, actor, model, fitness coach, and entertainer. Producing music videos has become one of my favorite creative outlets.
I am diverse in creative ways with different kinds of music. Recent original music is house style with relaxed and melodic vocals. I started acting and modeling more to extend my personal brand value.
The new music track and music video release is called “You”. The track was written and recorded in Beverly Hills, California. The music video was filmed on Malibu Beach, California.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
2021 really changed how I see the world.
I think that happened to many people.
I personally changed my diet, views, beliefs, truths, and deep thoughts of how to live the longest life. I don’t feel or think the same way that I do today, as I have before 2021.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were times of frustration and thoughts of giving up in my past, but I never did.
It takes time to think things through and find yourself for who you really are. Self awareness of purpose and life strategy can be difficult at certain times, but for me it always seems to surface my thoughts which keeps me in line with myself.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
So many subjects that are questioned makes sense lately. A lot of talks and truths have become exposed; which is the best thing for our industry in music, entertainment, and film.
There are some really talented people that are new to the industry. They deserve a chance at thriving with their brands, but it is difficult to break through some of the hurdle points if you aren’t part of the right club at the right timing. I hope to see this change in the near future.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope that my storytelling lives on for many years. Music and music visuals are the best way to extend legacy. The purpose behind each lyric and motion should be a message that resonates with anyone who knows me.
