Asa P. Sealy of South Florida on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Asa P. Sealy. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Asa P., it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are centered around grounding myself and setting the tone. I start every morning with prayer and meditation, which helps me align mentally and spiritually before the day begins. Depending on the week, my routine shifts a bit. When my kids are with me, I spend that time getting them ready for school, dropping them off, and then heading straight to the gym. On the weeks they’re with their mom, after I pray and meditate, I go directly to the gym. Either way, I make sure my mornings start with intention, family when possible, and health so that I’m energized and focused for the rest of the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Asa P. Sealy, and I’m the founder and host of The Strpd Club, a podcast and community created as a safe space for men to have honest conversations about life, identity, relationships, and mental health. What makes The Strpd Club unique is that it strips away the stereotypes and expectations men often carry, giving space for raw, vulnerable, and real dialogue.

I started this platform because, as a father and entrepreneur, I’ve seen firsthand how easy it is for men to feel isolated while carrying so many responsibilities. Through storytelling, both my own and from other men who share their journeys, we’re building a movement that reminds men they’re not alone and that strength is found in authenticity.

Right now, I’m working on expanding The Strpd Club beyond the podcast, creating content and experiences that continue to challenge stigmas and encourage men to speak up, heal, and grow together.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One of the most pivotal moments that shaped how I see the world was my divorce. It came later in my life, at a point where I had matured enough to be truly honest with myself. For years, I lived behind a public-facing façade, trying to hold everything together and present an image of success. But I realized that peace, real, internal peace, was worth far more than appearances. Choosing to let go of what no longer served me taught me the value of authenticity, and it completely shifted how I approach my relationships, my work, and my purpose.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power after my divorce. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, but also the one that forced me to strip away the image I had built and confront what I was truly feeling. Instead of burying that pain, I decided to channel it into purpose, and that’s when I launched The Strpd Club. It became a platform not just for me, but for other men to share their stories, break through silence, and realize that vulnerability is actually a source of strength.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
For a long time, the public version of me wasn’t the real me; it was the version I thought people wanted to see. I was successful on the outside but carrying pain and struggles I never spoke about. Going through my divorce forced me to strip that away and embrace authenticity. Today, the public version of me is much closer to the real me, because I’ve learned that living in alignment, through platforms like The Strpd Club, is far more powerful than maintaining an image.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace in the quiet moments, when I’ve prayed, meditated, and centered myself before the day begins. There’s also a deep peace I feel when I’m with my kids, fully present with them, just enjoying the time we share. And on the days when life feels especially heavy, I often go to church. It’s where I escape the craziness of the world, find answers I’ve been searching for, and feel closer to God. Those moments of faith, family, and reflection remind me that real peace comes from within and from staying connected to what truly matters.
