Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond Rollins.
Diamond, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I always longed for a creative outlet in life… I just never knew how that would be possible for someone like me. I remember when I was younger, I would always be looking through magazines, getting lost in each photo daydreaming about the day it would be me. The older I got and the more confidence I built, I started to not only visualize what I wanted but went after it; not caring that I was from a small town, not caring that I was petite or that I didn’t have the usual “model shape” and just went for it. The rest was history.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art form is through creating content; whether that be modeling, acting, influencing, YouTubing or writing. I will say that my first love is modeling; I never really wanted to just simply take pictures but actually create art, a mood and a vibe that would ignite various emotions in my audience. I wanted to defy the odds and inspire girls (and guys too) that looked like me or ever felt like they were inadequate to pursue their dreams. I really hope that people are able to feel a flow of positive vibes, optimism, and God’s glow on life when they look at my content.
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
My advice for other artists would be, don’t let fear hold you back from reaching your best self and getting to the next level. I know taking a big leap of faith can be a little heart dropping but I swear when something is for you, the leap will be worth it. Also, don’t always wait for someone to hand you something, don’t be afraid to go out and get it yourself; pray, put in the work, network, execute your visions and watch yourself flourish.
