Today we’d like to introduce you to Chico Star.
Chico, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’ve been composing music since I was 12. I started pursuing a professional career in music production at 17 and went to school for audio engineering at 19. Around 23 I started becoming a bit more involved in the business aspect as well as the production, mixing and mastering aspect. I’ve been making a living off music since I was 24. I am now 27 and loving my career so far.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create records. I create music. I like to think I also create opportunity to a certain extent. At the heart of all of that, I am a music producer. The goal is always to make a timeless piece of art.
Do you think conditions are generally improving for artists? What more can cities and communities do to improve conditions for artists?
Originality. But that’s probably been always.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
My main website that features my available production catalog is www.ChicoStar305.com. I soon will have www.ChicoOnTheBeat.com ready. To find work I’ve done with artists, people can simply google me at Chico Star/ChicoStar305. All my social medias: @chicostar305
