We’re looking forward to introducing you to Wendy A.. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Wendy, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My day starts when I “wake up,” and I try to avoid looking at a screen. Some days, I go for a walk, and then I do 10 minutes of yoga to stretch. I spend about 20 minutes reading, followed by journaling and a short meditation session. After that, I make a cup of coffee and drink it outside before I start my work. It’s a peaceful and intentional way to set the tone for the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Bonjour! My name is Wendy, better known as YourHelpfulWendy, and I’m a trilingual Arabic/Hispanic content creator, digital marketer, and travel storyteller based in sunny Miami.
Through my brand, I share authentic travel, lifestyle, and culinary experiences designed to inspire people to step outside their comfort zones and explore the world with curiosity and confidence.
What makes my work unique is the combination of my multicultural background, my professional expertise in marketing, and my genuine passion for connecting with people. I’ve collaborated with global brands, been recognized as a top contributor on Google Maps and TripAdvisor, and have been featured in international digital magazines.
Beyond content creation, I also partner with brands to strengthen their online presence through creative storytelling and social media management. I love traveling and sharing cultural and culinary experiences. If you’re in the travel, tourism, hotel, or hospitality industry, or if you’re looking for a dedicated creator to bring your brand to life, I’d be thrilled to connect.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that travel isn’t just about where you go; it’s about the stories you bring back and the inspiration you share.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
What has taught me the most about work is the combination of resilience and adaptability. Throughout my career in marketing, events, and content creation, I’ve learned that things don’t always go as planned. Campaigns shift, clients change direction, or travel plans fall through.
Instead of seeing these moments as setbacks, I’ve come to see them as opportunities to grow, think creatively, and find solutions.
Travel has also been one of my most outstanding teachers. Being exposed to different cultures and ways of life has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and flexibility; skills that directly translate into my professional life.
I love connecting with people and learning from them, as each interaction offers a chance to gain new insights and perspectives. At the end of the day, what work has taught me most is that success stems from consistency, passion, and a positive attitude, even in the face of challenges.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I almost feel like giving up every time something goes wrong. But instead of walking away, I try my best to pause, look at what went wrong, and find ways to make it better. Those moments remind me that setbacks are part of the journey, and they push me to grow, adapt, and stay committed to what I love doing.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friend would say that I’m someone who never gives up on my dreams and always finds a way to turn challenges into opportunities. They’d probably highlight my positivity and how I try to uplift others, even when I’m facing my own struggles. What matters most to me is that they see me as genuine, loyal, and someone who truly cares about the people around me.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retire tomorrow, my customers and community will miss the personal touch I bring to everything I do. They’d miss the way I combine helpful tips with genuine storytelling, always trying to make travel and lifestyle content feel relatable and inspiring. Most of all, I believe they’d miss the positivity, encouragement, and authenticity I bring.
