We recently had the chance to connect with Stephanie Pujols Graupera and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Stephanie, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Who are you learning from right now?
My children. As a mother to three beautiful girls, they provide daily reminders of how precious the small moments of joy are. Their resilience, their honesty and genuine fun they excite in even the most mundane is truly a gift.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Stephanie Pujols Graupera, and I’m the founder of The Stork Agency, a boutique domestic staffing firm that connects elite families with exceptional household professionals, ranging from nannies and newborn care specialists to housekeepers and private chefs.
What sets The Stork Agency apart is our hands-on, highly personalized approach. We don’t just place candidates, we create long-term, harmonious matches rooted in trust, values, and lifestyle alignment. Every family and candidate is treated with care, discretion, and attention to detail.
The agency was born from both personal experience and a passion for helping families feel genuinely supported in their homes. Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents saw me long before I fully saw myself. They recognized my drive, my creativity, and my natural ability to lead and care for others, even when I was still figuring out how those qualities could translate into something meaningful. They never pushed me toward a specific path, but they always encouraged me to trust my instincts, bet on myself, and dream bigger than I thought was reasonable.
Looking back, so much of what I’ve built today is rooted in the values they instilled resilience, empathy, integrity and the quiet but unwavering belief they had in me. Their confidence in who I could become gave me the courage to step into that version of myself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re not too much. Your big ideas, big heart, and big dreams are exactly right. Feel the fear and do it anyway, because the things that scare you a little are usually the ones that grow you the most. One day, it’s all going to make perfect sense…promise.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies the domestic staffing industry tells itself is that a quick placement is a successful placement. Speed should never outweigh alignment. Families aren’t just hiring help, they’re inviting someone into their home, their routines, and often their children’s lives. It’s deeply personal.
True success comes from thoughtful, high-integrity matching, not rushing to fill a role. At The Stork Agency, we prioritize long-term fit over fast fixes, and that’s what builds trust, loyalty, and real peace of mind for both families and professionals.

I know I’d regret not showing my children the world beyond their everyday surroundings. Travel is one of the most powerful ways to expand their perspective, exposing them to new cultures, different ways of life, and the beauty of diversity. Childhood passes quickly, but the memories made exploring new places together will stay with them forever. Years from now, they may not remember every toy or routine, but they will remember the smell of a foreign bakery, the sound of a new language, or how it felt to walk unfamiliar streets hand in hand. That kind of imprint is priceless.
