We recently had the chance to connect with Stephanie and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One of the biggest misconceptions about my business is that being a florist is simply about putting flowers together in a vase. In reality, there is so much artistry, precision, and care that goes into every arrangement—especially since I specialize in rose bouquets. Each rose has to be sourced at the right time, handled properly to preserve its beauty, and styled in a way that feels intentional and meaningful.
Roses carry deep symbolism, so I approach each bouquet not just as a floral design, but as a way to tell a story or express an emotion on someone’s behalf. What people don’t always see is the behind-the-scenes work—the long hours, the attention to detail, and the craftsmanship it takes to make sure every bouquet is not only visually stunning, but also unforgettable. For me, it’s never just about flowers; it’s about creating an experience that resonates.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Stephanie, and I’m the owner of Be Still Blooms, a Palm Beach–based floral brand specializing in rose bouquets and intimate moment setups. I’ve always believed that flowers are more than just décor—they’re a way to pause, connect, and create lasting memories. That belief is really the heart of my brand.
What makes Be Still Blooms unique is the focus on roses, which are timeless symbols of love and emotion. Whether it’s a custom bouquet or a full setup for an intimate celebration, I design with the intention of making each experience deeply personal and unforgettable.
I started this business out of a love for creating beauty in meaningful ways, and it’s grown into something I’m so proud of. Right now, I’m excited to be working on expanding our offerings, bringing more curated rose experiences to Palm Beach and beyond. For me, it’s about more than flowers—it’s about helping people slow down, be present, and celebrate life’s most special moments.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
The people who taught me the most about work are definitely my parents. They immigrated from Haiti over 40 years ago, became U.S. citizens, and have worked tirelessly ever since to build the life they have today. Nothing was ever handed to them—they worked for every single thing they own, and they did it with resilience, humility, and determination.
Watching their journey instilled in me the values I carry into my own work: perseverance, gratitude, and the understanding that success doesn’t come overnight—it comes from consistency and faith. Their example showed me that hard work isn’t just about achieving goals, it’s about building something meaningful that lasts.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me lessons that success never could, and many of those lessons are woven into Be Still Blooms. Going through struggles showed me the importance of patience, faith, and resilience—things you can’t really learn when everything is going smoothly.
It also gave me a deeper sense of empathy. When you’ve had to push through hard times yourself, you start to see other people’s stories differently. That’s why creating rose bouquets and intimate setups means so much to me—it’s not just about flowers, it’s about helping people celebrate love, joy, and connection, even in the midst of life’s ups and downs.
Be Still Blooms was born out of the idea that beauty can exist right alongside struggle, and that sometimes the simplest moments—a bouquet of roses, a thoughtful setup—can be the most powerful reminders to pause, breathe, and be present.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what really matters to me is living a balanced and meaningful life. As a true Libra, I’m always seeking harmony—in my relationships, my work, and even in the way I design my floral arrangements. They’d tell you I value love, beauty, and presence, and that I’m intentional about creating spaces and moments that feel peaceful and connected.
I think they’d also say that I care deeply about making people feel appreciated. That’s why with Be Still Blooms, it’s not just about the roses themselves—it’s about creating experiences that bring balance, joy, and a sense of calm into people’s lives, even during their busiest or most chaotic moments.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I think what I would regret most is not opening myself up to more opportunities. Life is full of possibilities, and it’s easy to get comfortable or play it safe—but I know the moments that truly change us come from stepping out of our comfort zones.
For me, whether it’s in growing Be Still Blooms, collaborating with others, or exploring new creative ideas, I want to make sure I’m always saying ‘yes’ to experiences that challenge me, inspire me, and allow me to grow. Looking back, I’d regret the chances I didn’t take far more than any failures along the way.
