An Inspired Chat with Sai Cronwall of Miami

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sai Cronwall. Check out our conversation below.

Sai, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing awareness. A world where people see animals not as property, but as lives that deserve love, care, and respect. Through Sai Rescue, I’ve learned that change starts with small acts like adopting instead of buying, fostering instead of turning away, and wearing something that tells a story. If I stopped, it wouldn’t just mean stepping away from a project, it would mean silencing that purpose that drives me every day. The animals and people who depend on us would lose a voice that fights for them, and I would lose the chance to keep proving that kindness truly matters.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sai Cronwall, and I’m the founder of SAI RESCUE I started this mission back in 2012 to help animals in need and to promote rescue, fostering, and adoption. The inspiration came from my travels around the world. I saw so much beauty, but I also saw the heartbreaking cruelty and neglect that so many animals still suffer. Those moments changed me. I knew I couldn’t just talk about it. I had to do something that would make people stop, look, and care. I decided to use fashion as my medium. I’ve always loved both animals and design, and I realized I could bring them together to create awareness in a new way. That’s how Sai Rescue T-shirts were born. T-shirts that use style to speak for those who can’t. Each one carries a message and a purpose, and with every purchase, 10% goes directly to animal rescuers. Giving back and standing up for animals is what keeps me going every single day. Besides selling the tees, I always promote adoption and fostering. On my social media, I also share posts whenever a dog is lost  because I truly believe that when used the right way, social media can create miracles. Every time I see a dog get adopted or reunited with their family, I feel so happy that if I sneezed, confetti would come out!

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was probably when I first helped a dog in need. I was young, and I realized that even one small action like rescuing, feeding, or finding a safe home could completely change an animal’s life. That’s when I understood that power isn’t about control or fame; it’s about the ability to create real change. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to help those who can’t speak for themselves.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Yes. I miss Manolo every single day. Manolito was my furry baby and the heart behind why I started Sai Rescue. Manolito loved life completely, and I always wished that every dog could be treated the way he was. Sadly, he passed away from heart failure, but I did everything I could to make sure his life, despite his condition, was full of love and free from suffering. When Manolito got sick, I thought about how many animals are abandoned simply because people see them as a problem. For me, animals are part of the family, and no matter what happens, we must care for and love them for their entire lives because there is no being more pure and loyal than an animal. Losing Manolito left a hole in my heart, but it also drives me every day to rescue and protect animals who need love.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is giving a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves. For me, that’s animals. Sai Rescue isn’t just a project  t’s a really important part of my life. They would tell you that I care deeply about rescue, adoption, and fostering. My friends know me as Sai, the dog lover. If they ever have any questions or need help with anything related to four-legged friends, they never hesitate to call me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I always give my best. With Sai Rescue, I’ve learned that helping animals isn’t about recognition. It’s about doing what’s right, even when no one is watching. I do it because it comes from the heart. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can change a life. I truly believe that if everyone gave a little love and care without expecting anything in return, the world would be a much better place.
