An Inspired Chat with Nicole Minotti of Pembroke Pines

We recently had the chance to connect with Nicole Minotti and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would absolutely hire me. I’m responsible, organized, and dependable — when I commit to something, I follow through and get the job done. I pride myself on being reliable and adaptable, and I bring a positive attitude into everything I do. I know how to balance efficiency with attention to detail, which makes me someone you can count on to deliver.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Nicole, and I’m the owner of a boutique waxing studio where I specialize in both waxing and sugaring services. I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 14 years, and for the past 6 (going on 7!) years, I’ve built my own business around creating a space where clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. What makes my work special is that it’s not just about hair removal — it’s about helping people feel good in their own skin. I’m constantly working on growing my brand, expanding my retail and memberships, and laying the foundation for my first storefront. It’s exciting to see how far this journey has come, and even more exciting to see where it’s going.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a free-spirited, curious, and creative girl who believed anything was possible if I worked hard enough. I wasn’t worried about titles or expectations — I just wanted to figure things out for myself and live boldly. That same spirit is still with me today, and it’s what pushed me to create my own path, stay true to myself, and build a business that reflects who I really am.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I don’t really live in fear, but I have had moments where self-doubt crept in. Sometimes it looked like impostor syndrome, questioning whether I was really ready or qualified to take the next big step. And in those moments, I’d hesitate and lose some of my drive. But what I’ve learned is that doubt doesn’t define me — my work, my dedication, and the results I’ve created do. Pushing through those moments has only made me stronger and more confident in my journey.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say I’m big on loyalty, love, and keeping it real. I care deeply about the people in my life — family, friends, clients — and I value trust and kindness above everything else. Basically, if you’ve got me in your corner, you’ve really got me.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think my clients would definitely miss our conversations and the camaraderie we’ve built over time. For so many of them, it’s more than just a wax appointment — it’s our little one-on-one therapy sessions, where they can laugh, vent, or just be themselves. Of course, they’d miss getting waxed too, but I think what they’d really miss most is the personal connection and comfort we share in every visit.
