An Inspired Chat with Marcia Teixeira of Miami Beach

We recently had the chance to connect with Marcia Teixeira and have shared our conversation below.

Marcia, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
This question brought a smile to my face, both internally and externally.
At this point in my life, I increasingly feel like I’m walking a path that I choose and build every day, in all areas of my life.
And the best part is knowing that this path has entrances and exits that allow me to wander a little and discover new things without straying from my final goal/destination.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a Human Development Consultant who helps people and organizations not just manage change, but thrive in it. After three decades in corporate leadership—20 of them at Microsoft—I know the reality of tough transitions, high-stakes challenges, and the pressure to perform. Today, I bring a bold mix of sharp business insight and powerful personal transformation tools to help leaders and teams navigate change with clarity and confidence.

What makes my work stand out is how I fuse Executive Coaching and Change Management with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). It’s a game-changer—clearing stress, breaking through hidden blocks, and unlocking the energy and focus needed to lead and live at your best. My brand is all about transformation that sticks: results you can measure at work, and freedom you can feel in your life.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is often not the big conflicts, but the small fractures that build up over time—unspoken expectations, lack of trust, miscommunication, and the inability to handle emotions when pressure is high. In organizations and in life, when people stop feeling seen, heard, or valued, connection weakens and collaboration suffers.

What restores those bonds is presence, honesty, and courage. When we create safe spaces for open dialogue, acknowledge what’s been left unsaid, and practice empathy, trust can be rebuilt. In my work, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people not only develop better communication skills but also release the emotional blocks that keep them stuck in old patterns. Restoration occurs when we combine practical tools with emotional freedom, allowing people to reconnect with themselves first and then with others in a healthier and more authentic way.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t always need to ace the test or have the right answer. That pressure closes the door to curiosity and creativity. Instead, let yourself ask more questions, stay curious, and welcome different perspectives—even when people don’t agree with you. It will make you stronger, more present, and far more prepared for the life and leadership ahead. And remember: being kind to yourself is just as important as being capable.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
There are foundational truths in my life that I rarely state in words, but that consistently guide my actions. I deeply believe that our values are not just abstract ideas—they are reflected in everything we do. My core values are integrity, kindness, curiosity, and joy. Family, friends, and even strangers pick up on these values through our actions, decisions, and the energy we bring into the world. I pay attention to the impact I have on others because their reactions and feedback serve as a mirror, showing me whether my behavior aligns with who I aspire to be. This constant reflection helps me adjust and ensures that the way I live is congruent with the person I want to become, silently reinforcing my core truths every day.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. How do you know when you’re out of your depth?
When my emotions start sending clear signals—stress, anxiety, frustration, or a sense of being overwhelmed—they manifest not only as thoughts but primarily as bodily sensations, as the body communicates with us. These feelings serve as my internal compass, highlighting areas where my current skills, knowledge, or energy may not fully align with what the situation demands. Rather than ignoring these signals, paying attention to them allows me to recognize limits, seek support, and take steps to learn and grow.

As I grow older and wiser, I treat myself as my own canvas, leveraging my experiences to learn and evolve in every aspect of life—personally and professionally.
