An Inspired Chat with Kavita Channe of Fort Lauderdale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kavita Channe. Check out our conversation below.

Kavita, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Exploring a new city, hiking, traveling. Anytime Im outdoors in a beautiful climate surrounded by nature, I lose all sense of time. Those moments reconnect me with my curiosity and sense of wonder. Its when I feel most alive, inspired, and aligned.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kavita Channé—TV host, entrepreneur, and founder of Sip Channé, a wellness-driven French wine brand inspired by my travels through Provence. After years in broadcasting and entertainment, I wanted to create something that reflected my lifestyle—elevated yet intentional, fun but clean. That’s how Sip Channé was born: a line of premium wines with no sugar, low sulfites, and a focus on balance and enjoyment without compromise.

What makes the brand special is not just what’s in the bottle, but what it represents—living fully, celebrating life’s moments, and doing so with authenticity and well-being in mind. Whether we’re partnering with wellness events, walking red carpets, or sharing clean pours with friends, Sip Channé is more than wine—it’s a lifestyle.

Right now, we’re expanding distribution, building our Sip Society wine club, and continuing to collaborate with like-minded brands across travel, fashion, and wellness. I’m passionate about connecting people through meaningful experiences, and Sip Channé is my way of doing that—one pour at a time.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Even as a toddler I was outgoing, social, and a performer. I loved being in the mix, meeting people, exchanging ideas, and entertaining. Before the world handed me labels or expectations, I was simply a connector, someone who loved bringing energy, laughter, and light into any room. That part of me never really left, it just found new stages, from television to entrepreneurship.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were times when I felt like the walls were closing in. I was navigating heartbreak, raising two kids as a single mom, and at the same time trying to grow a business in an industry that wasnt exactly waiting for me with open arms. Some days the exhaustion of carrying so much, personally and professionally, made me wonder if I could really keep going.

But then Id remember who was watching, my kids. I wanted them to see resilience, not resignation. I wanted them to know that even when life gets messy, you can still show up, keep building, and eventually turn the struggle into strength. Both my personal life and my business taught me the same lesson: the moments when you almost give up are the ones that define you the most.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That wellness and wine can coexist. People often think indulgence and health are opposites, but I believe balance is the real secret. Life isnt about restriction, it is about joy, connection, and conscious choices. That philosophy has shaped everything I do, from Sip Channe to the way I live my life.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived with joy and authenticity, that I made them feel seen, inspired, and cared for. That I wasnt afraid to reinvent myself, to dream big, and to share those dreams generously. And that I showed my children, and hopefully others, that you can create beauty, connection, and purpose in every chapter of your life.
