An Inspired Chat with Hershey Grogan of Coral Springs

Hershey Grogan shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Hershey, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, definitely I did it!
I’m beyond proud to share that I’ve officially earned my realtor license!
It’s been a two-year journey filled with dedication, late nights and unwavering determination. There were moments of doubt, but I kept pushing forward and today, I stand here with a heart full of pride and gratitude.
I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my beautiful family, who stood by me every step of the way. And above all, my faith in God gave me the strength to keep going, even when the road felt long.
This milestone means so much to me not just because of the license itself, but because of everything it represents: resilience, growth, and the power of believing in yourself. I’m stepping into this new chapter with excitement, purpose and a deep commitment to helping others find their dream homes.
Here’s to new beginnings, bold goals and the beautiful journey ahead!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Hershey Grogan and yes, just like the chocolate!
Born and raised in the Philippines, I came to the U.S. with a dream and a humble beginning as a housekeeper a role I will always honor and be proud of. It taught me resilience, humility and the value of hard work.
Today, I’m an Account Manager at a thriving Fintech company, where I also serve as the Global Leader of our Asian Community. Leading, engaging and collaborating to uplift others is one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.
But that’s just one chapter of my journey. I’m also a health coach, helping people transform their lives through wellness. And now, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially passed my Realtor State Exam! I’m proud to be a licensed professional realtor, working with Premier Platinum Realty to help others find their dream homes.
Yet, above all these titles and roles, my most cherished and rewarding profession is being a mom to my two beautiful children and a wife to my amazing husband. Their love, support and belief in me have been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved.
From housekeeper to health coach, global leader to realtor my journey is proof that with faith, family and fierce determination, anything is possible.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My motivation didn’t come from what I had it came from what I saw.
Growing up, I watched my mom live a life dependent on others. She never worked and leaned heavily on her siblings for support. That reality shaped me deeply not with judgment, but with determination.
I knew early on that I wanted a different path. I didn’t want to rely on anyone. I wanted to build something of my own, to stand on my own feet and to create a life rooted in independence and purpose.
From a young age, I was driven by the idea of work not just as a means to survive, but as a way to thrive. I worked hard, stayed focused and pushed through every challenge to get to where I am today.
My journey wasn’t easy, but it was mine. And every step forward has been a quiet promise to myself: that I would rise, that I would grow and that I would never stop striving for more.
Because sometimes, the greatest inspiration comes not from what we’re given but from what we choose to become.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’ve always loved the question: “What would you tell your younger self?”
Because for me, it brings back memories of a childhood filled with challenges, resilience and growth. There’s so much I’d want to say to that little girl who carried more than she should have.
First and foremost:
Don’t listen to the voices that tried to define you.
To those who called you a “bastard” simply because you grew up without a father know this: their words never defined your worth. You rose above the noise. You turned pain into power. And time, though not always kind, made you stronger.
You became someone who inspires others not in spite of your story, but because of it.
And remember your favorite quote:
“Never give up.”
You didn’t just say it you lived it. Through every setback, every tear, every moment of doubt… you kept going. You never gave up. And that perseverance shaped the incredible person you are today.
So to my younger self:
Hold your head high. You are brave. You are worthy and you are proof that even the most broken beginnings can lead to beautiful destinies.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes this is who I am.
What you see is what you get, whether in public or in private. I don’t wear masks and I don’t play roles. I believe in showing up as my true self, every single day.
Authenticity isn’t just a personal value it’s the foundation of how I lead. As a leader, I’ve learned that transparency builds trust and vulnerability builds connection. I don’t believe in perfection I believe in honesty, in growth and in being real.
I choose to lead with integrity, not image. I choose to speak with truth, not polish. And I choose to be someone others can count on not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard.
Because in a world that often rewards appearances, I’ve found power in being unapologetically myself. And that, to me, is the kind of leadership that lasts.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I always give my best no matter what.
In everything I do, I pour my heart into it. Not for applause, not for approval, but because excellence is a reflection of who I am.
I’ve learned that you can’t please everyone and that’s perfectly okay. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and I don’t need to be. What matters most is knowing, deep down, that I showed up fully, gave it my all, and stayed true to myself.
Praise is beautiful, but it’s not my fuel. My fulfillment comes from the quiet confidence of knowing I did my best and those who truly see me who value authenticity and effort will recognize that, even if they never say a word.
Because in the end, it’s not about being liked by everyone. It’s about being proud of the person you are when no one’s watching.
