An Inspired Chat with Elizabeth-Jamey Rand of Gainesville

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Elizabeth-Jamey Rand. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Elizabeth-Jamey, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
As the owner of Oasis Consulting Group, my days are dynamic and purpose-driven. I start each morning by reviewing client communications, checking in with my team, and prioritizing the day’s key initiatives. Much of my day is spent strategizing with clients—whether that’s helping a business owner scale their operations, supporting a real estate agent with lead generation, or advising a construction company on marketing automation.

I oversee project timelines, review campaign analytics, and ensure our team is delivering top-tier service. I also dedicate time to business development, refining our offerings, and exploring new tools and partnerships that can bring added value to our clients.

While every day is a little different, the common thread is problem-solving, forward momentum, and helping businesses grow with clarity and confidence.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of Oasis Consulting Group, a full-service business consulting and virtual support agency dedicated to helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals streamline their operations, elevate their marketing, and grow with purpose. We specialize in providing strategic support in areas like lead generation, social media, business development, administrative systems, and brand visibility.

What makes Oasis Consulting Group unique is our personalized, partnership-based approach. We don’t just offer services—we become an extension of our clients’ teams. Whether it’s a real estate agent who needs help attracting more qualified leads, a small business owner who’s overwhelmed with daily tasks, or a construction company looking to improve their digital footprint, we tailor solutions that move the needle.

I started this company because I saw how many business owners were struggling to “do it all” without the right systems, support, or strategy. My goal is to be the resource I wish I had when I was starting out—someone who not only understands the backend of business but also how to connect authentically with audiences and drive results.

Right now, we’re expanding our reach, working with more service-based businesses across the country, and helping our clients build strong foundations so they can scale with confidence. We’re also developing new resources, templates, and coaching offers to make business growth more accessible for entrepreneurs at every stage.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Without question, the relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one I had with my grandmother. She was the foundation of strength, wisdom, and grace in my life. Watching how she carried herself—with quiet confidence, resilience, and endless compassion—inspired me from a very young age. She taught me the value of hard work, the importance of integrity, and how to lead with both heart and discipline.

My grandmother believed in me before I believed in myself, and she always encouraged me to dream big but stay grounded. Her influence gave me the courage to start my own company, to serve others with excellence, and to never settle for less than I’m capable of. The way I run my business, nurture relationships, and approach challenges is all a reflection of the values she instilled in me. I carry her legacy with me in everything I do.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes—more than once, actually. Building a business from the ground up comes with moments of doubt, exhaustion, and uncertainty. There was a time early on when I was juggling multiple roles, trying to grow Oasis Consulting Group while also handling everything behind the scenes. I was working long hours, pouring my heart into the business, and still questioning if it was all going to work out.

What kept me going was remembering my “why.” I thought about the people I serve—small business owners, real estate agents, construction professionals—who rely on support, structure, and strategy to succeed. I also thought about my grandmother and the example she set for perseverance and purpose. Giving up would have meant turning my back on everything I was building, not just for myself, but for others who needed what I had to offer.

So instead of giving up, I paused, realigned, and rebuilt my systems. I asked for help, I refined my services, and I kept moving forward. That moment taught me that resilience isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about choosing to keep going, even when it’s hard.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is integrity. In both life and business, doing what’s right—even when no one is watching—is non-negotiable for me. Integrity shapes how I treat clients, how I lead my team, and how I represent Oasis Consulting Group. It means being honest, transparent, and following through on promises.

In the consulting and virtual support world, trust is everything. Clients are putting their businesses, their goals, and often their livelihoods in our hands. That trust is sacred, and I make sure it’s never compromised. No shortcuts, no false guarantees—just real, results-driven work rooted in values. When integrity is at the center, everything else aligns.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, I think my customers would miss the genuine partnership I bring to the table. I don’t just offer services—I become invested in their vision, their growth, and their success. My clients know I’m in their corner, whether it’s solving a problem at the last minute, strategizing through a tough season, or simply being someone they can trust to get things done right.

They’d also miss the consistency, the attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate what they need before they even ask. I’ve built Oasis Consulting Group to be more than just a support system—it’s a trusted extension of their business. That kind of care and commitment isn’t easy to find, and I take a lot of pride in that.
