We recently had the chance to connect with Danielle Artigo and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Travel, travel, travel! I do travel quite a bit for work, but this year I’ve been in rare form and have been able to experience different corners of the world outside of work. Nothing brings me more joy than having something new and wonderful for my senses to experience! Nepal, Mallorca, Barcelona, and Croatia have been some of the places I’ve been to this year, and I find it all quite the treat. I also love coming home after these long trips- I appreciate the mundane so much more!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi. I’m Danielle Artigo, and I’m a channel, healer, and spiritual teacher who runs spiritual retreats and works with people ready to connect with their highest selves.
I have to laugh at my journey because it took my spirit guides literally yelling at me in my mid-30s to finally own my gifts! For years, I was in denial of my intuition and ability to communicate with Spirit and the angelic realm. Like so many sensitive souls, I explored other paths before surrendering to what was meant for me all along.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to channel high-level Ascended Masters and create sacred spaces where people can reconnect with their soul’s truth. What makes my work unique is that I don’t just relay messages – I teach people how to have direct communication with their own guides. I specialize in working with healers and teachers who are ready to excavate their lives and step into their authentic power.
My retreats and programs are designed to help people unlock the wisdom already within them and connect with the divine. There are no shortcuts to living authentically; it takes courage, support, and aligned action, but when you’re ready for that transformation, the magic happens, and I’m honored to hold that sacred space.
I’m currently teaching Angelic Reiki Workshops in Southwest Florida, as well as in Canada. I am taking a group of Priestesses to Egypt this fall, and I have several new Zoom courses on Mary Magdalene and the Ascended Masters launching in 2026.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
This is a good example because much of who we are as adults is shaped by our childhood and the beliefs that were instilled in us when we were young. I was definitely a very sensitive and empathic child. I remember my father used to say that when I would get in trouble for something, he just had to tell me “I’m so disappointed in you,” and I’d run off crying, completely ashamed of myself. He never actually had to discipline me because I was so hard on myself that I would immediately feel remorse and apologize for whatever small thing I had done.
When I think about myself as a child, I definitely made it my goal in life to be “good” and to make everyone happy. After all, if you make everyone happy, you receive their love. If you keep the peace, you don’t have to be part of or witness any conflict.
And of course, as you become an adult, you realize how detrimental those patterns are to your growth and maturation process. I obviously no longer feel I have to make everyone happy or never rock the boat in order to receive love. I also don’t believe that it’s my job to make other people happy or comfortable – especially not at the expense of my own comfort and happiness.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
Sacred spiritual retreats are a big part of my offerings, and I had recently received some guidance that Nepal was a place I needed to visit. I was pretty convinced that if Spirit was guiding me to visit Nepal, it must mean I was meant to lead people there on a retreat.
So a friend and co-retreat leader of mine went to Nepal, and we trekked a bit in the Himalayas. We went to as many sacred sites as we could find, such as Buddha’s birthplace and various peace stupas—you name it.
But after a day or two of being there, I knew in my gut it was not a place where I wanted to bring people. As beautiful as the country was and as kind as so many people were, the land itself felt very depleted. It felt like a place that needed healing more than a place that could provide healing.
So, after telling friends and clients in my inner circle that I would be leading a retreat in Nepal, and after spending thousands of dollars to go there and explore, my friend and I made the decision to chalk it up as a wonderful growth experience but not as an investment in our sacred business of leading people to this land.
It was a very hard decision because when you lead people on a sacred retreat, it isn’t all about receiving—of course, you need to give back to the place as well. This is part of the sacred exchange. And yet it was a very important experience to realize that even some of the most “sacred” locations in the world have been overly exploited and don’t necessarily hold the same frequency that perhaps you imagine or read about.
So even though it took away a significant retreat offering for me for 2026, it was important to stand in my own knowing and my own feeling around what I could receive from this land, as well as give back to it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Where I see smart people getting it wrong today is in their resistance to fundamental change during what I believe is a critical transition period for humanity. I believe that humanity and the earth are going through a massive change right now—an upgrade, if you will. Recent events—COVID, the Me Too movement, climate disasters—have exposed deep flaws in our societal structures, from education to healthcare to workplace dynamics. And so these old paradigms are starting to fall apart.
The mistake many intelligent people are making is clinging to systems they’ve mastered and that have historically served them well. They are trying to cling to what they felt worked for so long, and certainly what was comfortable for so long, as opposed to stepping into the unknown and seeing things from different angles and perspectives, recognizing that all things must evolve.
For example, in education, we’re still largely using industrial-age models of lecture-based learning when we know students learn through different modalities and at different paces. In healthcare, we’re treating symptoms rather than addressing root causes and whole-person wellness. In the workplace, we’re maintaining rigid hierarchies when collaboration and flexibility drive better outcomes.
Clinging to anything is often a result of fear. But I feel true wisdom is seeing when something isn’t working, is outdated, or needs to be looked at through a different lens and from a higher perspective—and then feeling empowered to take action in a new direction.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
This is a great question, and such a simple response popped into my head when I read it! I would stop over-giving to clients. Pure and simple. I have a tendency to over-give in most scenarios. If someone books an hour-long reading, I often go 40 minutes over. If a client messages me and wants to run something by me, these often turn into free mini sessions. If I am preparing an hour-long class, I have enough information and extras to fill a two-hour time slot. Part of this is because I love my work, part of it is because I have a very strong work ethic, and part of it is because I can see that so many people are in need of information, clarity, understanding, and a safe place to be seen and heard. But if I knew my time was up in 10 years, I would take any extra time I have and attack that ever-growing bucket list. I would travel everywhere I possibly good, try things severely out of my comfort zone, and care not one bit about how this would be perceived by anyone else. I guess you could say I would honor myself in the best way I could and actually work as little as possible!
