Cardin, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is the most important thing to me because nothing really matters if it’s not coming from a place of honesty.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Cardin “King” Pierre, I’m a creative based in south Florida. I love creating videos especially, I’m a Filmmaker and a YouTuber. I’ve been making content ever since I was a child and through the years I’ve fell in love with cameras and creating.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I would say the relationship that shaped the way I see myself the most is the one I have with Jesus Christ. I find my identity in Christ and he’s my firm foundation. When the world is scrambling to figure out who they are, I’m rooted in the one who created me.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been many times where I almost gave up. One of those time was when I started to get less views on my channel because I started making the content I actually wanted to make. I felt like there was no place for me on the platform and I thought about just quitting. But, I didn’t let how I felt stop me, though I was inconsistent I continued to create and build off of what fulfilled me.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I used to hold tightly to the belief that I had to figure everything out quickly and have everything in my life set up by now. But, that was a rushed mindset built off of the image of social media. We see people’s triumphs because that’s what gets displayed but what we don’t see is the battles it took to get there.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left I would stop wasting time immediately! Tomorrow is not promised. I would spend more time doing things that are meaningful.
