An Inspired Chat with Biboluwa Fatukasi of Miami Florida

Biboluwa Fatukasi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Biboluwa, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Many don’t realize that self-care is the foundation of what we do. This isn’t a luxury; it’s essential. Our treatments help clients prioritize their wellness and create balance in their everyday lives.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Whether you’re focused on self-care, healing, stress relief, or simply want to feel pampered, Amoke Beauty Spa is your sanctuary in Miami

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
Healing has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I watched my mom dedicate over 35 years to the art of massage therapy, and her passion inspired me from a young age. I began practicing massage at just 12 years old, learning the techniques, care, and intuition that go into every session. Today, with over 15 years of hands-on experience, I bring that same love, skill, and dedication to every client at Amoke Beauty Spa. My work isn’t just a career—it’s a calling to help others relax, heal, and embrace the power of self-care.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was. Building Amoke Beauty Spa wasn’t easy. There were moments when I felt tired, overlooked, and unsure if all the effort was worth it. Between balancing life, business, and the pressure to succeed, I reached a point where I almost walked away.

But I remembered why I started — to help people heal, to continue my mother’s legacy, and to remind others that self-care is not selfish, it’s sacred. That purpose gave me strength. Every challenge became a lesson, every setback a redirection.

Now, I look back and realize — the moments I wanted to give up were the moments God was building me into the woman who could handle the blessing.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
Many in the industry treat self-care, massages, and wellness as optional or indulgent. The truth? Caring for your body, mind, and soul is essential—not a splurge.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
For me, building Amoke Beauty Spa was never just about starting a business—it was about answering a calling. Growing up watching my mom’s 35+ years in massage therapy, I realized early that healing others wasn’t just a skill, it’s a purpose. Every massage, facial, and treatment I offer is a reflection of that calling, not someone else’s expectations.

When you follow your purpose, work becomes passion, and passion becomes impact. At Amoke Beauty Spa, we help people heal, rejuvenate, and honor themselves—and that’s exactly what we were born to do. 🌿💖
