An Inspired Chat with Ashley Finestone of Miami and Palm Beach

We recently had the chance to connect with Ashley Finestone and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment that made me both laugh and feel proud happened just last week during a visit to a resort in Naples that carries our brand. The resort’s Marketing Director shared a great story with me—she had been flying back from her summer vacation when a flight attendant kept complimenting her on her phone chain, which was, of course, from Miami Chains & Co. The compliments kept coming, and eventually, she decided to gift the phone chain to the attendant. To her surprise, not long after, she was upgraded to first class! She laughed and said it was the least expensive upgrade to first class she’d ever received. It was such a lighthearted, feel-good story, but also a proud moment.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of Miami Chains & Co., a fashion-forward tech accessory brand known for our cult-favorite phone chains and bag charms. Thoughtfully designed and crafted with premium materials, our pieces offer a seamless blend of couture and convenience. They’re highly sought after by style-conscious professionals, moms on the go, and trend-savvy college students alike.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work was my father. Though he has since passed away, I have vivid memories of him as a high-powered yet humble executive with an unwavering work ethic. It’s remarkable how much we absorb during those early, impressionable years. His drive and dedication to his business left a lasting impact on me. Even now, I often find myself reflecting on how he might approach the challenges and opportunities I encounter in my own company. Without a doubt, he instilled in me the importance of passion and maintaining a positive outlook toward the future – not just in business, but in life overall.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, I’d borrow from one of my favorite country songs by Thomas Rhett: ‘Don’t worry about what could go wrong—think about what could go right.’

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
We have so many exciting partnerships happening right now, but one I’m especially committed to is collaborating with universities. College students have immense pride in their school colors, whether it’s on game day or just around campus, and we want our signature phone chains to reflect that spirit. Similar to what we’ve done with the Miami Dolphins and the Dolphin Diva Style phone chain in their signature orange and aqua, we’re focused on bringing that same energy and style to campuses nationwide. Students and parents have been asking for this consistently, and we’re excited to make it happen! It’s the perfect blend of fashion and function—helping students keep track of their phones while proudly representing their school. It’s an essential accessory that every student needs.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I believe our customers would miss the events and activations we create the most. We have an incredible, passionate, and loyal following, not just in South Florida, but nationwide. This past summer, we hosted numerous Miami Chains & Co. trunk shows and activations throughout New York City and the Hamptons—events our customers truly look forward to and enjoy, especially as we incorporate partnerships with charitable organizations. These experiences are about more than just the brand, they’re about building real connections.”
