An Inspired Chat with Adriana Hummel of Fort Lauderdale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Adriana Hummel. Check out our conversation below.

Adriana, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are all about setting the tone. I wake up early because that quiet time is something I truly protect, it’s when I ground myself before the day gets loud. Some mornings I work out at 5 a.m., and on others I fit my workout in after dropping my kids off at school. Either way, movement is non-negotiable for me. It’s how I clear my mind, build discipline, and remind myself that I come first too.

After moving my body, I take my time getting ready. Putting myself together isn’t about vanity, it’s a form of self-respect and confidence. While I’m getting ready, I mentally map out my day and ease into mom mode as the kids wake up. Mornings are busy, sometimes chaotic, but they’re also filled with connection and small moments that keep me present.

By the time those first 90 minutes are over, I’ve already prioritized myself, shown up for my family, and stepped into my roles as a mom and founder with clarity. That intentional start has completely changed how I move through my days and my life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Since we last spoke, I’ve continued to evolve both personally and professionally. I’m Adriana Hummel, a mom, entrepreneur, and content creator who built a brand from lived experience and turned it into something meaningful.

I founded Sweet Peas Co. in 2017 after struggling to find cute accessories and clothing that worked for my daughter’s sensitive skin. What started as a solution for my own child grew into a children’s brand known for its soft, hypoallergenic bamboo fabric and thoughtful design. Over the years, I was able to grow Sweet Peas into a nationally recognized brand, launching sold-out collections and collaborating with iconic names like Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake, including their first-ever joint pajama collection. Building Sweet Peas taught me resilience, discipline, and what it truly takes to bring an idea to life.

Alongside that journey, my personal brand, Adriana Hummel, has taken on a life of its own. Today, people come to me for guidance, perspective, and real-life insight on motherhood, confidence, wellness, discipline, and building a life that feels aligned. I share the behind-the-scenes of being a mom of two, a business owner, and a woman who deeply believes in showing up for herself; physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What makes my story unique is that I don’t separate the roles I play. I believe confidence is built through consistency, self-discipline, and self-respect, and I use my platform to show women, especially mothers, that they’re allowed to grow, evolve, and take up space in every season of life.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One of the most defining influences in my life was my sister, who lived with the Cerebral Palsy Disorder. During birth, the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. She spent her entire life in a wheelchair and couldn’t walk or speak, but she was emotionally present in ways that shaped who I am today.

She lived a full and happy 34 years, surrounded by love, family, and connection. Watching her move through life with joy, patience, and resilience completely reframed how I see the world. She taught me to slow down, to be grateful for what I have, and to live in the present moment.

Through her, I learned what true strength looks like. She showed me that happiness isn’t defined by physical ability, but by love, mindset, and the way you choose to experience life. Every day, I’m reminded how lucky I am to wake up, move my body, and walk through the world freely, something I never take for granted because of her.

Her life shaped my perspective in the deepest way. It taught me patience, gratitude, compassion, and the importance of living fully in the now. Everything I do,; how I mother, how I build, how I show up… comes from those lessons.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her to never doubt herself… not for a second. To trust her intuition, even when it feels scary or unconventional, and to go for what she wants without worrying about what anyone else might think. The discipline, the drive, the curiosity she had were always there for a reason.

I’d remind her that listening to that inner voice will take her places she could have never imagined. That choosing herself, staying consistent, and following what feels right will open doors she doesn’t even know exist yet. And most importantly, I’d tell her that everything she’s doing; every early morning, every risk, every leap of faith is shaping a life that’s bigger, deeper, and more meaningful than she can see in that moment.

Trust yourself. You’re already on the right path.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to the belief that women, especially mothers, don’t have to choose between caring for others and becoming who they’re meant to be. No matter how long it takes, I will continue to build and stand for a life that shows both can exist at the same time.

Through my work, my brands, and the way I live my life, I’m committed to encouraging women to trust themselves, honor their intuition, and stay disciplined in pursuit of what lights them up. I want to normalize growth, evolution, and self-respect at every stage of life.

Whether it’s through motherhood, business, wellness, or simply showing up consistently, my belief is that when women take care of themselves and listen to their inner voice, everything else begins to align. And that’s something I’ll always stand behind, no matter how long the journey takes.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand how powerful it is to move through life with genuine intentions. Being real, leading with kindness, and staying true to who you are will always take you further than pretending or trying to impress. People can feel authenticity, and when your intentions are good, the right connections, opportunities, and relationships naturally find their way to you.

I’ve learned that success built on honesty, consistency, and heart lasts longer and feels better. When you show up as yourself and lead with integrity, everything you build has meaning and that’s something I’ll always believe in.
