Alexandre Paskanoi’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

Alexandre Paskanoi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Alexandre, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
I bring a unique combination of creativity, technical expertise, and business understanding to every project. I’m not just focused on producing beautiful images or videos—I understand how visual content connects with audiences and supports business goals.

I’m reliable, solution-oriented, and I work well under pressure. I listen to clients’ needs, communicate clearly, and deliver on time. I also push myself to keep learning and evolving with trends in photography, videography, and digital marketing.

If I were hiring, I would want someone who cares about both quality and client satisfaction—and that’s exactly how I approach every job.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alexandre Paskanoi, and I’m a visual artist specializing in photography and videography. I’ve been working in this field for over 20 years, starting my career in Paris before bringing my creative vision to America.

What makes my work unique is my ability to blend artistic storytelling with commercial needs. Whether it’s a fashion editorial, a corporate campaign, a personal portrait, or a cinematic video production, I approach every project with the same passion for detail, emotion, and authenticity.

My brand is built around helping people and businesses visually express their identity and story. I believe that strong visuals have the power to connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.

Currently, I’m working on several exciting projects, including brand videos, editorial shoots, and creative content for social media campaigns. I love collaborating with clients who are open to pushing creative boundaries and telling stories in new, engaging ways.

For me, it’s not just about capturing images—it’s about creating moments that people will remember.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
I’ve learned the most about work from two key sources: the experienced photographers and creatives I had the chance to work with early in my career, and the clients I’ve worked with over the years.

Starting out in Paris, I was lucky to assist and learn from industry professionals who showed me the importance of discipline, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving. They taught me not just about technique, but about work ethic and how to handle pressure on set.

Later, working with a wide range of clients—from artists to business owners—taught me flexibility, communication, and how to adapt my creative vision to meet different needs and expectations.

Both experiences shaped the way I work today: with passion, professionalism, and a constant drive to improve.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: “Trust the process and believe in your vision.”

There were moments of doubt, times when things felt uncertain, and when the creative path seemed risky. But every challenge and every project—big or small—was part of building the artist and professional I am today. Stay curious, stay passionate, and don’t be afraid to take creative risks. It’s all worth it in the end.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
For me, the difference between a fad and a real foundational shift comes down to impact and longevity.

Fads are usually short-term trends that create quick excitement but fade just as fast. They’re often driven by social media or temporary hype. I always ask myself: “Will this still be relevant in a year? Will it bring real value to my clients or my creative process?”

On the other hand, a foundational shift usually changes how we work, create, or connect with audiences in a deeper way. It solves real problems or opens new opportunities for long-term growth. For example, the rise of digital content marketing or the shift towards storytelling in branding—those are real changes that continue to shape the industry.

I stay curious and open to new ideas, but I also take the time to observe how a trend evolves before fully adopting it into my work.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would stop worrying about perfection and overthinking small details that don’t really matter in the big picture.

As a creative person, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing perfect results or comparing your work to others. But in reality, the most meaningful projects come from passion, authenticity, and taking action without fear of making mistakes.

I would focus more on creating, experimenting, enjoying the process, and spending quality time with the people who inspire me—both personally and professionally.
