Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Kellenberger.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started more than 18 years ago when I worked at Apple as a part-time Creative, while also holding a full-time role as a Senior Designer in the Advertising, Marketing and Travel industries. During the week, I honed my craft alongside some of the most talented people in the business. On weekends, I found myself teaching people how to unlock the potential of their devices, whether that meant editing family photos, designing invitations, or finally starting that long-postponed passion project.
Those weekends never felt like work. (And I’m still a believer that “if you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.)
Over time, something meaningful began to happen. People didn’t just want help with their own devices, they started asking if I could teach their parents and grandparents, too. They wanted someone patient. Someone who could explain technology that’s easy to understand, without jargon or judgment. Someone who understood that learning something new takes encouragement as much as instruction.
After losing my father to cancer, my life had completely changed. I understood even more clearly how precious time is (tomorrow is not promised to anyone) and how powerful it can be to help someone feel capable and connected. Technology isn’t just about apps and updates. It’s about staying in touch with family, preserving memories, telling your story, and pursuing ideas that have personal meaning.
Today, my work blends creativity, compassion, and clarity. I help college students build portfolios, seniors organize decades of photos, entrepreneurs launch passion projects, and families bridge generational gaps through technology.
The goal is always the same: to replace intimidation with inspiration.
Because when people feel confident with their tools, they don’t just learn new skills, they rediscover their reality, their ability to create, connect, and dream at any age.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Working with clients who bring a wide range of needs and experiences is both a privilege and a responsibility. It calls for steady empathy, genuine patience, and a willingness to truly listen.
Today, we’re also navigating the fast-paced world of artificial intelligence, which can feel uncertain or even intimidating for many. One of my newest challenges ( and opportunities) is helping people see AI not as something to fear, but as a tool to support and enhance our everyday lives. After all, empathy, creativity, and our shared humanity aren’t going anywhere. They remain at the heart of meaningful connection and always will.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I design, I teach, and I have the pleasure of teaching design. I feel incredibly privileged to combine my passions and skills in a way that empowers others, helping them transform their ideas into tangible projects and their dreams into reality.
What matters most to you? Why?
At the end of the day, what means the most to me is knowing I’ve helped someone move closer to fulfilling their purpose or elevating their vision to the next level.
That sense of contribution (however big or small) feels incredibly rewarding.
Each day brings a new opportunity to put something meaningful and positive into the world, and I’ve never been one to take anything for granted.
