My journey began with a deep love for animals and a personal realization that grooming could be so much more than just a service. Before founding Lollipaws Grooming, I experienced firsthand how stressful and emotionally damaging grooming could be for dogs. Seeing my own pets return anxious and withdrawn after grooming appointments was a turning point for me—it made it clear that something needed to change.
I decided to learn the craft myself, immersing myself in grooming not only to master the technical skills, but to truly understand the emotional needs of dogs during the process. What started as a desire to protect my own pets grew into a mission to create a calm, nurturing, and respectful environment where animals feel safe, understood, and cared for.
Lollipaws Grooming was built on that philosophy. From day one, my goal has been to ensure that dogs leave happier, more confident, and emotionally balanced—not just clean and groomed. Over time, this approach shaped the culture of my business and strengthened the trust between our team, our clients, and their pets.
As the business grew, so did I. Navigating entrepreneurship while carrying personal responsibilities and challenges taught me resilience, leadership, and the importance of staying aligned with my values. Today, Lollipaws is more than a grooming salon—it’s a space rooted in compassion, education, and emotional well-being for pets and the people who love them.
Looking back, every challenge has reinforced my purpose. I didn’t just build a business; I built a place where care, patience, and love are the standard—and where grooming is an experience that honors the bond between humans and animals.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Building Lollipaws required navigating multiple challenges at the same time, both personally and professionally. I grew my business while becoming a mother to two children, learning how to balance entrepreneurship with the responsibility and emotional weight of raising a family.
Just three months before opening, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, bringing uncertainty, shutdowns, and fear into an already fragile moment for a new business. Shortly after, inflation deeply affected operating costs, rent, and supplies. Like many small businesses, I also faced a shortage of employees, limited access to products, and constant changes in pricing and availability.
There were moments when difficult customers attempted to take advantage of the situation, requiring me to develop stronger boundaries and leadership skills. Eventually, economic pressure and rising costs forced us to relocate, which was one of the most challenging decisions I’ve had to make.
At times, it felt like we had gone through “the seven plagues of Egypt,” but each challenge strengthened us. Every obstacle became a lesson in resilience, adaptability, and courage. These experiences made me a stronger business owner, a more strategic leader, and a more confident woman. Today, I look back with gratitude—not because it was easy, but because it shaped who I am and how Lollipaws operates with intelligence, strength, and purpose

Lollipaws Grooming is a grooming salon specializing in grooming services for all breeds, with a focus on creating a unique, personalized style for each dog. We believe every dog has its own personality, and our goal is to enhance that individuality through thoughtful, customized grooming.
What truly sets us apart is our approach. We take the time to build genuine relationships with our human clients by listening carefully to their needs and expectations. Grooming is a collaboration between trust, communication, and care—never rushed and never treated as volume-based work.
We are not a high-volume salon. Each dog receives patience, attention, and respect. Our team is built with intention; every groomer shares the same deep love for dogs and brings unique strengths to the table. We understand one another, balance each other, and work as a unified team toward a single goal: providing exceptional care and meaningful grooming experiences rooted in quality, consistency, and heart.
What makes you happy?
Dogs make me happy—my six Shih Tzus, my clients’ dogs, and honestly, every dog I meet. Their presence brings joy, comfort, and authenticity into my life. Dogs have a way of lifting energy, softening heavy moments, and reminding us to live with love and simplicity. If you have a dog, chances are, your dog makes me happy too
