

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felipe Zambrano.
Felipe, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Sure I’d love to.
I was born in New York to Colombian parents who taught me the value of entrepreneurship and resilience from an early age. My father is a biochemist and my mother, originally a doctor in Colombia, reinvented herself to build a successful real estate career in Miami for over 20 years. Their boldness and determination eventually shaped my own drive to carve my own path and embrace entrepreneurship as a way of life.
I pursued both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in International Business and Management at Florida International University. Knowing that Miami is a global hub, I began my career in the airline industry, working across cargo airlines, American Airlines, and later with Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi. I then moved to Mumbai, India, where I worked with Jet Airways. Between my time in Abu Dhabi and India, I lived abroad for about three and a half years, gaining deep experience in international markets.
Over the years, I’ve traveled extensively across Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on global business and the ability to build meaningful relationships with high-level leaders and decision-makers around the world. This exposure also led me into high-value asset brokerage and consulting, where I’ve been able to connect businesses and clients with opportunities through creative and strategic approaches.
Beyond business, I am passionate about technology, continuous learning, and personal growth. As a Christian, my faith shapes the way I view the world and how I approach leadership, change, and innovation. I believe in the importance of unlearning and relearning, staying adaptable, and leveraging technology to drive impact.
Today, I bring together my global experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and values-driven mindset to help organizations think differently, expand internationally, and succeed in dynamic markets.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. From the outside, my career might look like a seamless journey through international roles and entrepreneurship, but the reality has been filled with challenges that tested me personally and professionally.
Living abroad in places like Abu Dhabi and Mumbai for more than three years was both rewarding and difficult. The cultural and behavioral differences were clear, and being far from family added another layer of struggle. Those years forced me to adapt, to be self-reliant, and to grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Later, after returning to the U.S., I faced a different kind of challenge when COVID-19 disrupted my corporate career. Being laid off after years of success was humbling and, at times, discouraging. Yet that difficult period also became a turning point — I co-founded a parts brokerage company, managed it successfully for four years, and discovered the confidence to fully embrace entrepreneurship.
Looking back, I see those hardships as defining moments. They molded me, taught me resilience, and reminded me that setbacks often open the door to growth and new opportunities.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One thing I’d like to share is the importance of finding your purpose and focusing on how you can bless others. Over time, I’ve learned to approach conversations differently — with the mindset of adding value to people’s lives. Growth comes not just from gaining new knowledge and being open-minded, but also from removing the habits, thoughts, or distractions that don’t serve us — much like Michelangelo described carving away everything that wasn’t David.
I believe self-growth is both about expanding your perspective and also refining yourself into the best version of who you’re meant to be. For me, faith and family are what ground me. They remind me to stay mindful, live by values, and make decisions that matter. I’d encourage others, no matter their background, to stay close to God, keep striving for improvement, and remember that time passes quickly — what truly counts is not how long we live, but the impact we make along the way.
