Initially, it was a way to share my culinary experiences in Miami, Medellín and every single place I visit with friends and family, offering them recommendations on exceptional dining spots.
What started as a hobby quickly grew into an influential social media platform with thousands of followers. Through Meli Tastes, I aim not only to highlight outstanding restaurants but also to create value for both establishments and their customers. My approach goes beyond food, focusing on elements like ambiance, customer service, and unique details that make dining memorable.
I also conduct incognito visits to evaluate various aspects of restaurants, providing constructive feedback to help them enhance their offerings. Additionally, I collaborate with Latin restaurants, guiding them on how to boost their digital presence through effective social media strategies.

The journey with Meli Tastes has been rewarding, but it hasn’t been entirely smooth. One of the initial challenges was transforming a personal passion into a platform with real value for followers and restaurant partners. It required not only creativity but also persistence and strategic thinking to establish a strong presence on social media.
Another struggle was earning the trust of restaurants to collaborate with me. Convincing owners and managers that my feedback could help enhance their customer experience and digital reach took time and effort. Additionally, managing incognito visits while ensuring fair and constructive evaluations posed its own set of logistical and ethical challenges.
Balancing the demands of creating engaging content, staying consistent with my personal brand, and navigating the competitive landscape of social media has been both challenging and a learning experience. However, these obstacles have pushed me to refine my strategies and grow personally and professionally, making Meli Tastes the impactful platform it is today.
