Today we’d like to introduce you to Aarial Mitchell.
Hi Aarial, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I would say my love for beauty started way before I knew it! Before I could walk, I began participating in beauty pageants. I was always mesmerized by the glitz and glamour. I often preferred my mom’s lipstick, nail polish, and combs over any toy. In high school, I would do other students’ makeup during free time or even before classes! I fell in love with the feeling of making other women feel and look their best!
Any of my free time in between school I would spend admiring and watching makeup videos on YouTube. After high school, I began to work at Sephora. Being inspired by makeup soon followed a passion for skincare. I realized skincare was just as important as any makeup application. When I discovered another passion for skincare, I decided to enroll in beauty school. I became a licensed Full Specialist in April of 2019.
This was such a transformational period in my life! One month later after graduation, I moved to South Florida. In that short period of time, I was able to land a Forbes list resort nail technician role overlooking the Atlantic right outside of Palm Beach Florida. It was one of the most surreal experiences. I saw things I had only ever seen on TV. I learned excellent client experience was what it took to have repeat clientele.
I now had a new goal! I wanted to have my own luxurious spa where women came to relax and feel beautiful. I now own my own beauty business, Aarial Aesthetics. Aarial Aesthetics is where natural beauty and today’s newest beauty trends meet! Our main focus is enhancing and restoring what women already have! All services are tailored to each client’s specific beauty needs!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey to becoming a businesswoman has not been smooth. There have been many challenges along the way! Starting my business at 25 with no prior business experience was one of my greatest obstacles. There were things I had to learn and fail at when first starting my business. Learning how to do business taxes, forming an LLC, and creating business accounts were different ways I could allow my business to grow.
During this time becoming an esthetician and then running your own business wasn’t as common as it is today. Social media has since expanded and now it’s a lot easier to find mentors in the beauty industry. Facing these obstacles and having the experience I do now, inspired my one on one training course.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Licensed Full Specialist. I’m known as the brow magician of the Treasure Coast. I specialize in enhancing and maintaining your natural beauty whether that be semi-permanent brows (microblading), brow lamination, brow tinting, lip blush, facials, or full-body waxing! I also offer one-on-one training courses for anyone looking to kickstart their beauty career.
My goal is to give my clients the confidence they need to flourish. My top priority is my client’s experience from beginning to end. My most requested service is brow lamination with hybrid tint! Think your brows but fuller! Brow lamination is customized to each client’s preference and lasts up to 6-8 weeks.
I’m most proud of the community of strong women I’ve come to know, love, and admire. I would have not made it this far without the loyalty, love, and support from each and every one of them. Continuing to grow my community is what sets me apart from others. There is nothing more impactful than female entrepreneurs supporting other female entrepreneurs.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that one might find surprising about me is that I’m a Florida native who enjoys adventure and wildlife! In my free time, you can find me doing outdoor activities. On my 26th birthday, I went ziplining for the first time and loved the adrenaline rush. In the near future, I plan to cross off skydiving from my bucket list!
