Hi Hillary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Hillary, some people call me “Hills”. I love to share creative fashion and lifestyle content on Instagram as well as tutorials of how to make the creative transitions I applied to my reels. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic and currently based in Miami.
I joined Instagram in 2013, I loved creating outfits with my clothes, taking lots of pictures, and posting them.
Then I combined that passion with video editing, to create “reels” with creative transitions and at the same time keep sharing outfit ideas with people. Thanks to this I decided to group all the content using the #AlEstiloHills, an idea created by my dear cousin Maria Elena so that each person can see all the posts in a simple way and share their reels with the transition ideas they used as inspiration.
Currently, I share content with 10.5k people and I have collaborated with numerous brands, from what at first was a ‘hobby’ and now is a full blog.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth journey. However, like many content creators, the content is subject to Instagram’s algorithm changes, and on certain occasions it may not reach the expected interaction.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m Accountant by profession with more over 4 years working in the Tax Practice based on the Dominican Republic legislation, and currently working with LATAM countries.
With regards to my artistic career, I’m a Classical Ballet dancer, photographer, and professional model.
I have approximately 10 years creating content for social networks, about fashion, lifestyle, and video editing tutorials. I am very proud of the growth and support I have received during this journey. I believe that each creator gives their own way of expressing their content, with their own style and their own special touch that makes them different, that’s what I do with #AlEstiloHills.
