Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Brunot.
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in a Haitian household, it’s ingrained in your head that you must be a nurse and although nursing is a passion of mine and ill be graduating May 5, 2022 with my BSN I knew I wanted more, it wasn’t up until the pandemic when I decided to take a leap of faith and use my stimulus check to start my hair business, which also opens the door to my boutique and I now have 2 locations for both businesses, I also decided to start showing the personality and talent that God placed in me it’s comedy and I’m now performing at multiple improv theaters… I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has in no way been a smooth road, I’ve made many mistakes through self-doubt being impatient and lacking wisdom when I first began because making money is easy but having the wisdom on how to maintain it is the challenging part. But with getting closer to God and learning about wisdom and humility, I’m in a much better space.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m mostly known for being the “funny girl”, being relatable and down to earth, people watch my comedy and are instantly uplifted. I’m also known for slaying glueless wigs and having all the hottest outfits…I’m not proud God took pride away from me a while ago but I am thankful that God allowed me to always be ambitious and know that I can do anything as long as I praise him and keep a pure heart, I stand out because I have faith that anything I touch has no option but to work.
What makes you happy?
I’m happy knowing that I don’t have to blend in with the world to stand out, I can keep a pure heart and still be successful. I don’t have to scheme and plot to make it, but I wait my turn and in waiting God gives me strategies that puts me in the position to be a blessing to my loved ones. My children and husband make me happy, we have a small family but a whole lot of love.
