For Neoshi Green-Kebreau, healing is both deeply personal and profoundly collective. Inspired by years of witnessing how unprocessed trauma ripples outward, her Amazon #1 bestselling book Shadow Work, Past Lives, & Spirit Guides opens an intimate window into real hypnotherapy sessions, allowing readers to feel the work as it unfolds. By grounding spiritual exploration in lived experience, connection, and nervous‑system safety, Neoshi invites people to meet their shadows with compassion—reminding us that when one person heals, the world shifts with them.
Hi Neoshi, thank you so much for taking the time to join us. Congratulations on becoming an Amazon #1 Best-Selling Author — that’s huge. Can you share what inspired you to write Shadow Work, Past Lives, & Spirit Guides, and why this felt like the right moment to bring these client stories to the world?
I wrote this book because the world needs more healing, and to heal the world we have to start with ourselves. It sounds cliche but it’s true. Hurt people, hurt people and if you can get to those people then you can stop the chain of hurt. When you focus on your personal growth and healing, it creates a ripple effect that impacts those around you and the world. Especially now with everything that’s unfolding in the world and politics. Every headline screams of fear, violence, and anger in the news, social media, and even in everyday conversations with others. Our minds are being bombarded by negativity 24/7 and we wonder why we’re stressed out or depressed. Imagine having to pile all of that on top of everything else you’ve been struggling with for years or decades. This work isn’t just about inner healing for yourself, but also for the world.
Your book pulls back the curtain on real, transcribed hypnotherapy sessions rather than abstract theory. Why was it important for you to let readers witness the work as it actually unfolds, and what do you hope people feel or realize as they read these experiences?
As humans, one of the most important things in the world for us is connection. We connect with others and the world through our stories and our shared experiences. That’s something I noticed even more when I started to share snippets of my sessions on my YouTube channel. Comments like, “I felt like you were talking to me” or “I’m in tears right now, thank you for sharing this” or “This just healed a part of me that I didn’t know I needed to heal” are posted in nearly every one of the 300+ videos I have shared on my channel. So having it transcribed was super important for me because I want you, as you read, to connect with the sessions in the same way that leads to profound healing and transformation.
You’ve worked with a wide range of clients — from everyday people to celebrities, athletes, and CEOs. Are there common patterns or themes you see showing up again and again when people begin exploring shadow work, past lives, or subconscious healing?
Absolutely! All of my clients, whether they are a celebrity or not, share similar traumas from their past. Traumatic memories, fears, painful emotions, self sabotage, etc.. are all common issues that surface when you begin deep inner work. Some of the trauma that comes up they’re already aware of but it surprises them because they didn’t realize it had been affecting them in several other ways. There are even clients who have so much suppressed or repressed trauma that we spend the entire three hour session on navigating memories from their current life that they never even explore a past life. Those who do experience past life memories are usually stunned at the life that they are shown because it’s not what they expected. A lot of people think that they will see past lives where they were kings and queens, but it’s usually lives full of painful lessons and challenges. Even my clients who have experienced a past life as royalty, it was a life full of pain and suffering. A life full of happiness and peace does come up from time to time, but like the painful ones it always comes with a powerful message and connected to a pressing issue or challenge they’re experiencing most at that moment.
Your work beautifully bridges psychotherapy and spirituality in a way that feels grounded and trauma-informed. For readers who are curious but maybe skeptical or new to this kind of inner work, how do you recommend they begin exploring healing at the soul level in a way that feels safe and empowering?
Well I always say that this work isn’t for everyone because people are at different points on their spiritual journey. If someone is skeptical it doesn’t prevent them from being able to experience healing at a soul level but I would encourage them to start with something that feels safe to their nervous system like journaling. You can write about moments when you felt alive or empty, but be honest and allow yourself to express your raw feelings without filtering your words, thoughts or beliefs. Even if you don’t believe in past lives but you’re curious, look at it as a story, a symbol or a metaphor of what you need to know most now because that is what’s most important. Like our ancestors used to say, “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.”
With the success of the book and the growing cultural shift toward deeper, integrative healing, what’s next for you and Neoshi Hypno & Soul Healing? How can readers connect with you or continue this journey beyond the pages of the book?
When I started this work 7 years ago I asked God/ Spirit to guide me to where I needed to go and what I needed to do. Since then I’ve been focused on my private sessions with clients, hosting group hypnosis experiences, training, and mentoring others who feel called to this work as well. There are a few other things in the works but I’m unable to share it at the moment.
