Rising Stars: Meet Brie Whitehead of Key Biscayne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brie Whitehead. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Coffee Cake and Real Estate, came from an idea of our Broker (Mark Whitehead) about 30 years ago. Mark has been in Real Estate for the majority part of 40 years. Coffee Cake and Real Estate has been a long time coming.. It’s a concept that drives people to you instead of chasing people up or paying for leads.

Coming soon; our concept is a coffee and cake cafe with a real estate office all in one. A friendly environment with no pressure to buy Real Estate, to just simply look and enjoy a coffee and or cake. TV’s and listings being shown throughout the coffee shop and waiters / waitresses who are also realtors who can help navigate any questions you have for buying, selling or investing in real estate. When people come to you they are more open to tell you there wants and needs compared to people who walk into a real estate office and feel the pressure that they have to buy, sell or hand out personal information to just simply know more info.

The marketing factor of Coffee Cake and Real Estate is huge… for example if you have a home or investment property you are selling with us you not only get what all the top brokerages give you but you have people coming into a place that has your listing broadcasted daily on TV’s, menus, and agents speaking up your listing.

It’s an availability factor that when people are selling their home they can never get in touch with their agent because a lot of agents get listings and just sit on them and hope people bring them buyers.. With us you simply walk into the shop and say hey… why hasn’t my home or investment sold? Also people who list, or have bought from us receive free coffee… another reason to stop by!

We feel that with this concept it will become a unique, relaxing, safe and friendly environment to make connections and relate to our clients on a basis that’s not just business.

Our clients become our friends with how we treat them, talk and interact with them on a daily basis, and that’s how we perceive Coffee Cake and Real Estate a home to find your home – “Come for a coffee, leave with a home.”

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s never smooth sailing, we know our ideas will work – it’s just finding the right time and place to making it a reality.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Mark Whitehead: Our broker has been in The Who’s Who three times with his success in Real Estate. He had a long career before Real Estate with horses in England but that’s a whole other story…
Brie Whitehead: Is an ex professional tennis player, who has been learning the game of Real Estate from the best, her father.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Yes, definitely do. Real Estate is a cut throat business with the amount of money to be made you must have a very good set of organization skills and knowledge to pass along to your clients. It’s why in Real Estate we refer to “farming” because that’s the best way to advice clients – you cannot know every part of the state you’re able to work in, you have to narrow down the area in which you want work in so you can become an “expert” in that given area.

That’s why we do so well, we tailor to a few areas but we know the in’s and out’s of it completely to give our clients the best understanding of that area whether it’s a good fit for them or not we can help guide them on whatever their looking for.

You also have to be very comfortable with people, talking, engaging and our go to is being 100% honest about everything so there are no surprises. It’s a delicate business in which a lot of agents do part time and don’t understand or care about the client, they simply see the money and are greedy.

The best part is the rewarding factor when the client is so happy about their new home or investment. It’s a satisfaction that you made that possible, it’s easy to do if you are professional, honest, available, responsive and aware of the full aspect of each transaction.
That’s the best advice we can give future agents.
