Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Hill.
Yolanda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Originally from Cuba, moved to South Florida at an early age. Photography has always intrigued me, I love the way that one picture can capture so many milestones, memories and bring you back to that exact moment in life. Following my aspirations, I decided to take a leap of faith and followed my heart. I attended Palm Beach State College for Photography and have been fortunate to be an Award Winning Photographer. My love for that “ah moment feeling” has given me the unique style and eye to capture one of the most important moments in someone’s lives, their Wedding Day. When I arrive at a wedding I have an excitement within me that leads to me to have a vision of what turn out to be breathtaking photos. My clients know me for using my lens to catch their authentic emotions during life’s most beautiful moments. I draw my inspiration from my natural elements and sensations – water, light, motion, and genuine romance, and intimate emotions to create and reflect the essence of my client’s experience.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like in all aspects in life there will always be up’s and down’s in any venture that we take. My biggest struggle was at the beginning of this adventure. I wanted to indulge as much information as I could, finding a mentor that would guide and lead me in the right direction was my struggle. I was blessed to find a small knit of mentors that were willing to open up and show me all their own unique techniques that helped me create my own vision. Out of all the mentors that helped, my biggest success was with a wedding photographer that was willing to show me many techniques, but most importantly how to use off-camera lighting.

I am a photographer that specializes in Weddings which leads to creating a life long venture for my couples. I also photograph many engagements, newborns, family sessions and events. I am mostly proud that I have created a brand that allows me to be able to follow my couples thru all their major events in their life. I feel that what sets me apart from other photographers is my personality and the way my team works in any environment. I love getting the positive feedback from my brides and grooms once they have viewed their galleries. The most rewarding part of capturing these moments is when a guest at the end of the night expresses how impressed they are with my work and what a great job I have done.
