Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Yani Dixon.
Dr. Yani, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was drawn to dentistry at an early age, and pursued it with a passion. I understand the importance of being knowledgeable about current treatments and offering access to the latest technology: these deliver the most comfortable care and strongest results for my patients.
They, my patients, are my true passion. Everyone I meet and care for is a unique individual, with a unique situation and concerns. I enjoy getting to know each as real people; every person has something interesting to share, and I learn so much from our conversations. I love those moments, and the connections that grow between us.
To spend my days helping people reach optimal dental health a life-changing smile: what could be better?

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Probably the biggest challenge was starting over here in the US after receiving my degree and license to practice in Brazil. I knew where my passion lies, so I knew that I would eventually have the opportunity to practice here in the states. I had some early successes and that encouraged me to pursue practicing on my own. Although exciting, it was a challenging time, as growing it based on my ideas and goals was something new for me. And then a few years ago I made the decision to start offering a more health centered approach to dentistry. It was different and against what I was educated on and against accepted dental norms. I felt it was the right time and the knowledge and treatment would be of tremendous benefit to my existing patients and also to those seeking an alternative to traditional mainstream dentistry.
Whereas I wanted to continue my cosmetic dentistry as I really enjoy and get great satisfaction out of changing people’s life with a smile makeover. I really wanted to add an element of health to my practice that I know many patients have been seeking for years. The transition away from the mainstream approach has had its challenges but seeing the reactions and faces of the many people that have been helped by the healthy approach has been very rewarding.
Please tell us about Dr Yani Holistic & Healing Dentistry.
My expertise is the art of cosmetic dentistry. Like a painter or sculpture, most people don’t realize the creative piece that is associated with Cosmetic. It’s the part of my work that truly I’m passionate about along with healthy alternative dentistry. With Cosmetic cases, every patient is unique and requires a very well thought out approach. People learn about my very systematic and conservative approach which is truly different than other doctors and why patients have sought me out.
I’m most proud of the level of care in our office and making patients feel comfortable on each and every visit. I believe that this customer eccentric approach is a difference maker and is the reason we have such a loyal patient base.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have become a biological dentist earlier. I would have learned more about toxins and their impact on the body and health in general and tried to have helped more people.
