Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Raffard.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Vincent. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a French native, I was born in Paris and I moved to Miami in 2007.
I came here with a beautiful opportunity to play some music with an American Songwriter.
After months of touring, life and this mystery offered me the chance to stay in Miami.
With my passion for Jazz music and my roots of French Culture, which make me created my own music with the influence of the city, then the opportunity offered me the chance to meet a lot of musicians to have the chance to play it.
My first gig was at the Tudor House in Miami Beach in 2011.
Since I was playing Trumpet and some French Music, I decided to call my band Names “The French Horn”.
Different venues started contacting me so with different demands my band was growing. So, I rename my band as “The French Horn Collective”.
In 2012, I had the beautiful opportunity to be the opening band of Lagniappe in Midtown.
The success of the combination made me go to the next step. I played there from 2012 to 2019.
Since 2012, I am part of the Miami Music Culture, knowing as a French Gypsy Jazz classic and original Alternative Jazz band.
Today, my band played also some other states as: NYC, Mexico, Cayman Island and différent cities in Florida.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity and work the city gave me and I am very thankful for the people I met and who are working with me on this beautiful entertainment music business adventure.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every road has its path… and every path has its struggles.
Hard work and consistency, a healthy mind and body, positive thought and grateful attitude help me for moving forward…
For the struggles… I think I forgot about it… LOL!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The French Horn Collective – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My passion is about Jazz music live entrainment.
Today, my passion is offering a platform of incredible talented jazz musicians who are playing collectively. We can offer different band format from a Duo, up to a 10 pieces band.

Our sound is influenced by French music and old school jazz sound with an influence of New Orleans, Gypsy Jazz, Paris and Miami Sound. This combinaison offer a strong live energy set with a lot of knowledge and training to play it.
