Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Barrientos.
Victoria, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised almost my whole childhood in Venezuela. When I was 11, my dad signed me up in a makeup class without my consent. I had no clue about anything related to makeup. When the class was over, I knew I’ve found my passion. In Venezuela, it is really hard to find good quality makeup, so I did not practice for a year.
A year later (2016), I moved to the United States. I was really sad because I’ve left everything behind, including my family and friends. The first few months, I was feeling nostalgic and homesick, So I decided to practice again, and realized that makeup took all that pain away. The truth is I was really bad. I practice every day no matter the time, I had no lighting, so I had to practice in front of my window.
I started to get better by the day, but it still wasn’t the best, I told my mom that I wanted to start training again. I signed up for a basic Makeup class and I fell in love with the results. I decided to create a makeup account, why not? The support I had was unexplainable. After a couple of months, I started to get clients and that’s when I decided to get professional training. I signed up for classes with Several Known Makeup artists.
In 2019, being only 16 years old, I launched my own Lash Line, something I was working on for months and no one knew. The amount of love and support I got was incredible. Today, I’m not a common 16-year old that goes to parties on the weekend. I spend time creating content for my Instagram and beauty blog as well as packaging and mailing orders.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The makeup world can be toxic sometimes. I have had some bad experiences, but everything that has happened has taken me where I am today, I would not change a thing.

My business is small but full of love and passion. My lashes are unique. They are everything I ever wanted on a lash: Lightweight, easy to apply, and soft. Some of the things that people say about my lashes is that they are one of a kind, they are also in love with the packaging ( Which I designed from scratch). Aside from my brand, I do people’s makeup and also teach them how to do makeup in themselves. My favorite part of this are weddings; seeing the bride’s reaction is everything.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I hope my techniques get better and better. I also want my business to grow, and I never want to lose this passion.
