Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Dante.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Taylor. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hi! I am the CEO (Chief Eating Officer) of TAYstyTravels a food, travel & lifestyle content creator based in Miami. Born and raised in South Florida I grew up with a serious passion for food. I came up with the name TAYstyTravels a couple of years back alongside family & friends who encouraged me to start sharing all of my TAYsty experiences. For some time, the name was just an idea in the back of my mind before it finally came to life. What started off as just a name later became an Instagram page and still more to come.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would have to say yes and no. On one hand, since starting to grow TAYstyTravels over the course of the last couple of months it has been smooth due to the fact that every day I am tasting, exploring and creating content essentially for my passion project… TAYstyTravels. Of course, on the other hand, it is competitive especially in a city such as Miami, there is always a new restaurant, a new “Instagrammable” experience, and a new event popping up each day. I find myself questioning how do I stand out? I believe that if I continue to give it my all and stay true to myself my TAYsty experiences will speak for themselves.
Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Event Management which has allowed me to work on both big and small scale events all over the country with amazing brands such as Heineken Light, Google, Vince Camuto, Moet & Chandon, and Red Bull to name a few. From those experiences, I was able to take away knowledge about building brand relationships, social media, and digital capture. All aspects which have helped me to grow TAYstyTravels. As TAYstyTravels primarily focuses on food, travel, and lifestyle I work closely with other foodie brands and restaurants. In doing so, I have been lucky enough to combine my love for food and events. For instance, I am currently working with a couple of Miami based restaurants on expanding their business in the form of media dines with a fun twist. In co-hosting these events I always make sure to capture content in the form of both photo and video. Two skills which I am proud to say I see myself growing in each day. As I have watched myself grow since graduation and combine all of my passions into one, I am proud to see all that TAYstyTravels has to share. From a simple restaurant review to hosting a giveaway to even expanding a brands social media presence, I want TAYstyTravels to offer everyone a TAYste.
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were just starting out?
Honestly, what immediately comes to mind is that I wish I would have started this journey sooner. As I previously mentioned the name and vision for TAYstyTravels came about a couple years ago but back then I didn’t pursue much beyond coming up with a name. Since that time I have learned that you cannot just let time pass you by but take it all in, eat well and travel often. I am a strong believer in “everything happens for a reason” so even though I wish I would have done a couple of things differently I also believe that in the past I was meant to focus on other ventures and now is when this passion project of mine is meant to thrive.
