Today we’d like to introduce you to Silvani D’Agostino.
Party Staffers began in September, 2012 when Silvani was working for several prestigious Catering Companies in Greenwich, Connecticut and found that their customers were getting over charged, not only on the food side but especially on the staffing side. You see catering companies typically get a premium for the food that they serve but they also get an override on any rentals that their clients rent from them (they usually outsource and add a premium) and they make an unfair amount of the staff.
Catering companies tend to overstaff a party or an event. They suggest that more staff is needed than necessary because they charge a client more per hour than they pay the staff. So, the more staff that they can add on to a party or event, the more money that they make.
“We started Party Staffers because we wanted to be upfront with our clients. We provide the staff only – waitstaff, bartenders and event staff – our clients get their food from their favorite places and provide their own beverages. We make only a modest amount on the staff that we provide – and we aim to staff appropriately – just the right amount of staff for the client’s needs.”, said Silvani.
“Last year we opened our second location in Coconut Creek, Florida – serving Palm Beach, Broward and Dade Counties.”, she said.
