Today we’d like to introduce you to Shebania Delpe.
Shebania, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a child, I was always creative and quick with any computer software for class projects. Whether it was Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, or even computer classes or photography classes that I took as an elective in high school, everything was quick and easy for me to create, whether it was flyers, invitations, or Snapchat filters. Around the end of 2018, going into 2019, I decided to take graphics seriously because friends would always say I should start a business since it was already something I really enjoyed to do. So here I am now in 2020 with my very own graphics business where I create logos, Snapchat filters, EFlyers, youtube intros/Outros, banners, etc. I’m still not completely where I want to be yet but everyday I’m striving to be the graphic designer I want to be.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t want to say it was a smooth road because it wasn’t. I’m still working on my customer service skills and my time management because I do work full time as well, so I don’t always get things in a timely manner but I always try my best to satisfy my client’s desired due date.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about LE Graphics (Loc Empress Graphics) – what should we know?
My business name is LE Graphics. LE is short for Loc Empress which is a name I go by on social media. I create logos and other graphics for people’s business, events, etc. I’m mainly known for my logo designs now, a lot of people come to me now for those. I’m mostly proud of my growth as a business in a whole more than anything because it has taught to have more discipline in my everyday life. What sets LE Graphics apart from other graphic businesses is that empress touch ☺️✨ I try my best to creatively tend to the needs of my client, giving them exactly what they envisioned for their logos/graphics. I’m also very patient. My graphics are fun and bubbly.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The most high deserves all the credit first and for most. Stanley Pierre is a guy that really believed that I could to great things with graphics if I really just pushed my self and took a leap of faith to start my business.
Gerdy Desinor is someone who pushed me to go out of my element/comfort zone that I could do better with graphics. I once was making an event flyer and He literally was right there. Checking on me making sure I tried to do something different, not like my ordinary work.
