Meet Samantha Gil of Nest of Love in Edgewater

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Gil.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Samantha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am the Founder of Nest of Love. Before Nest of Love’s existence, I was a Finance Manager for Mercedes-Benz for a little over eight years. One night the girls and I had a “Girl’s Night at home,” and we began discussing how we should give back to the women of our community. Several times that same week, I had been asked to become a Leader in Potential church for a Support Group. Fueled by my passion to help others, I instantly knew I had a higher calling! Nest of Love is a 501(c)(3) Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization. I have ONE Passion & ONE Mission, and that is to build a platform of all types of women who are working together in Leadership! We are committed to lead women from all cultures and all ethnicities to become Leaders at all stages of their lives! We unite women who are seeking advancement through mentorship, leadership, wellness, and spiritual guidance through proper training and programs. Nest of Love launched in September of 2018. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never a smooth road. Leaving my career was a HUGE step! Following my dream is all I could ever think of. Hosting a Gala the next month after launching was INSANE. Many sleepless nights, tears but I knew what we had to get done, and my team and I did all we had to do to make it happen.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Nest of Love story. Tell us more about it.
Nest of Love exist to Empower Women. Our Leadership and Mentorship Programs consist of business training(s) that aim to develop the skills women need in order to lead themselves and others. Our programs include: leadership training, business leadership, organizational development, business acumen, managerial leadership, team building, self-confidence, self-awareness, wellness, and spiritual guidance. In order for one to be whole, their mind, body, and soul must interwind. We develop women to become leaders at every stage of their life. Nest of Love is known for driving the purpose out of our women and guiding them to become their best selves! We are proud to have a community of women uniting to make a difference, our community is seeking change and is breaking through fears they once thought they could never overcome. Everything about us sets us apart. We do not compare ourselves to any other. We are Nest of Love and we are here to fulfill our purpose. “We Change Our Women We Change Our World!”

Tell us about your childhood, what were you like growing up?
Growing up, I would say I have always been a giver, protector, and leader. I love making others laugh, being around my family and working extremely hard. I am most certainly not your average girl, which is why I’m so passionate about helping other women. My excitement is diving into my projects and impacting individuals lives. Every single day I advance my mind, body, and soul. I would say I always spent time with my family. I loved hanging out with my little sisters, being their role model made me the woman I am today.
