Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Gallacher and Renata Vasconez.
Samantha and Renata, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We come from different parts of the world and completely different backgrounds but when we met we knew we had a common a bond, our complete love of interior design.
Samantha was already part owner of IG Workshop and when the company began to take on more clients, Renata stepped right in and took over as her partner.
Together we have taken a small interior design operation to a full-service boutique interior design and construction management firm. In our portfolio, we are working on several new construction homes retail space in the design district, a building in Caribbean, a real estate firm.
As mom’s of small children, functionality and practicality are key to us without compromising the aesthetics we have become synonymous with. IG workshop uses a clean, contemporary palate as a base layered with an eclectic modern flare.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Interior design is a full-service business complete with challenges and triumphs. Although we cannot pinpoint one major bump in the road, each project presents its own challenges, overcoming them helps to make us a stronger team.
Please tell us about IG Workshop.
We are a full-service interior design firm. Our specialty is to adapt to different scenarios and Aesthetics.
It was our same clientele that took as to explore outside our usual scope; We started 2018 with a few objectives in mind, one was expanding to the Caribbean, which we did early in the year. We are very excited for what the rest of 2018 will bring for IG Workshop and our rug company Art + Loom.
Our design process has lead us to not only full scope interiors but also the world of product design. Stay tuned for our 2019 product launch.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We have learned that the most important key to a successful company is to team up with motivated individuals with a keen eye for design. We only wish we had known and hired our complete team earlier instead of trying to do everything ourselves.
