Meet Roodlyne Mason

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roodlyne Mason.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Roodlyne. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started blogging when my daughter was born. I was just an excited mom wanting to share my motherhood adventures. Ten years later, my blog has changed and evolved into a sweet little community where I share my love for gardening, self-care for women, an overall healthy lifestyle.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wish it was but just like anything in life, it definitely has not been a smooth road. The online business landscape has changed so much over the past decade, changes can be rough. Having a platform that consists of me sharing my life has can take a toll. Between anxiety and depression spells and fighting impostor syndrome… sometimes I’m left feeling like I don’t have anything to give. I’m very grateful for the community that I have built. When I feel like I don’t have anything to offer, my community is always there to help me back up.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I run an online media company. I have several blogs centered around motherhood, family, and promoting healthy lifestyles. I aim to encourage my community to care for their mental health and physical health. We do this through gardening, journaling, self-care practices, and positive affirmations.

I even wrote and published a beautiful journal titled “100 days of self-love affirmations – Affirmation journal for self-love and confidence.” I could say this is one of the achievements I am most proud of. The one thing that set me apart, I could say, is my realness. Everything I share on my platform comes from personal experience, it may not always be pretty but it’s real.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is being able to make a difference, even if it is one person! If I helped one person a day or even one person a week… I would have accomplished my mission.
