Meet Romey-Mak of 2 Sense in Homestead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Romey-Mak.

Romey-Mak, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The year was 2015, I was listening to some of my favorite podcasts realizing I had such an enjoyment laughing to the various segments that were conducted and I thought to myself, I would love to create a platform where others like myself can express themselves about random topics that occur in our society. Instead of just talking about it like I would with any other idea that would propel into my mind, I decided that I was going to create this thought-provoking platform. Over the years, a few great radio personalities have contributed to the 2 Sense platform: Joe Collins, D-Snax, Croombe, Suga-Buga, Carla Truss, Roberto, Mike Miles, and H-Deez. Without these people amongst others, the show would not be where it is today.

Since the arrival of 2 Sense, the show has expanded to other shows: “RM2S Presents The Locker Room” which puts focus into things that guys talk discuss (sports, women, etc), “Innerview with Rome” where guests are highlighted on their craft and give an inner view of who they are, and lastly “Random S***” which is a non-scripted discussion with random people on random topics while inebriated. All these shows are on The Romey-Mak Youtube Channel, Spreaker, Apple Podcasts and Anchor for your listening pleasure. I’m also a frequent guest on the “Diva J & Friends” show On Facebook every Sunday at 5pm Eastern with Diva J, Candace, Anya, Ianna and Miami based Hip Hop icon “Yooda”. Staying busy with my craft, I’m constantly researching new people to interview to bring forth their story to my platform.

The mission of the 2 Sense is to provide a place for expression and inspiration so that podcasters, bloggers, musicians, philosophers, entrepreneurs, or just downright honest people can discuss various issues associated in cultures across the globe!

Mak Core Values
1. Express yourself freely
2. Be open-minded to views beside yourself
3. Build a long-lasting network for bloggers to communicate
4. Inspire and Motivate
5. Make People Feel That Their Voice Matters

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been quite a journey getting to this point dealing with depression, anxiety, porn addiction and just finding the energy to make it through each day to come up with a show. I made some mistakes along the way, mistreated some people who helped with the show, trying to be something I wasn’t, and overall getting lost in the sauce as the saying goes. Along the way, my team and I have mastered what works for the show and ways we can improve our craft. I struggled with worrying about if I said the right things or if I stuttered but with editing I’m golden. Trying to get multiple people on the same page to do a show is a mission in itself and oftentimes, you get discouraged. You have to find inspiration through your peers, my biggest inspiration is my daughter. I want her to see that you can achieve your dreams by staying dedicated.

2 Sense – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
2 Sense is a podcast/internet show where we talk about any and everything, then gives our “2 Sense” on the matter.

I am an internet radio host and specialize in communication.

I’m known for my podcasts, producing music, uplifting others, and work ethic like that of my father.

I’m most proud of the fact that I can create a platform for others to take part in and tell their story to the world.

What sets me apart from my peers is that I’m just me. No more, no less. I talk about the stuff that I want to talk about with the people I love to talk with. I want to succeed so that I can help others take the same path.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career thus far is doing what I love with the people that I love in podcasting. That solid hour I get to spend talking about anything with Croombe, Suga Buga, Roberto, Joe Collins III, Mike Miles, H-Deez, Carla, Joni, Diva J, Anya, Candace, Yooda, Ianna, whether it’s my show or my friend’s show, I’m in bliss being able to debate random topics.
