Meet Ricardo Herdan and David Shiffman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Herdan and David Shiffman.

Ricardo and David, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ricardo: My partner’s name is David Shiffman. I was born and raised in Venezuela and have a background in the retail baking industry. David is a civil engineer who was born in Miami and raised in Venezuela as well where he has an independently owned construction business.

South Florida has great weather, however, occasionally suffers from tropical storms and hurricanes, often causing damage to homes and commercial properties. While setting up this new franchise, evaluating individual experiences, and assessing the property industry in Miami, we concluded that a good percentage of property owners have been victims of damage involving water, fire or mold. Much of the damage was a direct result of natural disasters and malfunctions in the home or originated from poor installations of AC units.

My experience with retail baking and technology combined with David’s knowledge of construction and general contracting, along with our desire to help the community, made us a perfect fit to open a PuroClean franchise.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a smooth road to establishing the franchise due to the organized process that the Corporate Headquarters has put in place. PuroClean’s structure defines all steps, procedures, standards, and training necessary to successfully run the franchise.

The main challenge that we face is that this is a highly competitive industry, particularly in our area in South Florida. We take pride in our understanding of the market and work toward showing the community that we provide world-class service. Our goal is to be at the top of everyone’s referral list for restoration services in South Florida.

PuroClean of Aventura helps families and businesses overcome the devastating setbacks caused by water, fire, mold, and other conditions resulting in property damage. In addition, we offer supplemental services including odor control, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and tile and grout cleaning.
