Meet Rev. Eddie Rodriguez of Eddie Rodriguez International in The Roads

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rev. Eddie Rodriguez.

Rev. Eddie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
A little over 20 years ago, I read a book, Conversations with God. It was a New York Times Best-seller for two years. Shortly after reading the book I resigned from At&T after 25 years and dedicated my life to the uplifting and the empowerment of people. The author, Neale Donald Walsch and I became good friends and have now enjoyed a 23-year friendship. He has mentored, tutored, guided and inspired me to become who I am today.

I received my ordination through the Universal Brotherhood Movement. I have been officiating weddings now for 14 years and have married a little over 800 couples in 7 different countries and all over the US. I have performed weddings on Bravo, MTV and LIfetime.

I am also called to celebrate children by creating special ceremonies for them such as a baptism/christening or a baby blessing ceremony. I have also presided over 100’s of funeral and memorial services. All deaths are difficult but when there is a particularly difficult death such as a child, a suicide or a tragic accident I am the one that usually receives the call.

I also work as a Personal Empowerment Coach/Life Coach. I work with individuals and couples to assist them in getting clear about themselves, what they want out of life and how to achieve their goals. I also lead workshops, classes, and retreats overseas. I offer small business coaching as well. As an expert in mindset and using the power of imagination to focus on what one desires and wants I assist business leaders and employees in creating common visions and goals in order to attain success.

Has it been a smooth road?
Walking away from a secure 25-year career just 5 years from retiring was a huge risk.

My current career was completely dependent on my ability to show up, speak and inspire people. I had to come up with a way to secure work. To ensure that couples would want to hire me for their weddings. I decided early on that if I showed up if I would treat every bride as if they were one of my daughter’s then I would be ok. It’s worked.

In the past 14 years, I have married celebrities, sports figures and wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of working with.

I have also been teaching Monday night classes for 20 years. I have made the commitment to show up for classes, for weddings, and for other events regardless of what is going on in my life. Through divorce, the ending of long-term relationships I have always put my issues in perspective and have shown up for my clients.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Eddie Rodriguez International – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company offers LIfe-Coaching and Business Coaching services.
Key note speeches and inspirational talks.

I am the most sought after wedding officiant in Florida, having married over 800 couples in seven different countries and all over the US.

Ordained as an Inter-Faith minister gives me a wonderful window into the richness of different cultural and religious experiences. Often times I am marring a Jewish bride with a Muslim groom, or a Catholic groom with a Hindu bride, or a Palestinian groom with a Jewish groom. Any combination you can think of I’ve joined them in marriage. I always ask folks to focus not on our differences but on the one thing we all have in common, the desire to love and be loved.

As a Life-Coach specializing in relationships, I have helped hundreds of couples heal their marriages and find new purpose and meaning. I have also helped couples come apart without hurting one another and hurting their children.

I am most proud of the fact that as a teacher, a minister and a Life-C0ach my students and clients know that my authenticity, my commitment, and my integrity are exemplary. I have a unique way of assisting people in getting clear and becoming conscious in order to enable them to create their best life.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love this city. I’ve lived here for 51 of my 55 years. It is a natural paradise. I love the diversity, the people who work hard each and every day to make this city open, tolerant and accepting.

What I least like about the city? At times, I feel that we are not as conscious as we could possibly be. I think we forget that we are one community, one people all wanting the same things, a beautiful and safe place for our families. We compete with one another instead of cooperating with one another. We seem to relate on a superficial level as opposed to diving deeper and relating to one another as human beings who have much more in common than the things that set us apart. But I am hopeful.

I knew Eddie when we were working in AT&T. It was a men’s profile job, as we climbed poles, handled very heavy equipment, etc. Plus I was almost 50 years old. The only person in my crew that helped me was him. Once somebody asked him, why do you help her?
And he answered, because she never ask fot help, she is very brave!
    I will never forget!
    Love you ALWAYS!
