Meet Olesia Bondaruk of Lucky Start in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olesia Bondaruk.

Olesia, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hello everyone! 👋 My name is Olesia. I am originally from Ukraine. I have lived in the USA for the last two years. I got married and moved here. I always dreamed of traveling around the world and helping people with something really meaningful. I studied English at the University in Kyiv. I always loved English and wanted to be a teacher.

👩‍💻 When I was a student in 2007, I first came to the United States for a Work & Travel exchange program. I spent four months working at the Holiday Inn in Destin, FL. It was a great experience practicing English as well as getting to know the people and the culture of this beautiful country.

After graduation, I worked a few years as an English teacher in Ukraine. After a few years, I decided to change my life dramatically and I got a job at the American Company Carnival Cruise Line. I worked there for two years. During that time, I was able to see the most beautiful places in the United States, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Mexico. It was an awesome experience. I met a lot of new friends and interesting people and got used to living in an English-speaking environment.

When I came back to Ukraine, I opened my online school of English, for those who live abroad or are planning to go abroad. It’s a very unique and fast way to learn English. I am using three methods of teaching: coaching sessions, natural learning (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), and repetition. Because it’s a fast and intensive technique, it takes only two months to learn the spoken language. Students learn English every day for a few hours and get great results. it’s really something new. They go from zero to Pre-Intermediate level in only two months!

🌎🇺🇸 When I moved to the USA, I registered my company, Lucky Start, in Florida. Since then, Lucky Start has been an American company that is teaching English online in a very unique way, helping people not only to learn English but to change their lives.

I live in Florida with my husband, manage my company and help others to have a better life. For now, I have my course “English in 2 months” in Ukrainian and Russian languages, but who knows, maybe in the future, we will translate into other languages. If you are curious to know more about my experiences, I am always open to communicate. You can contact me on Instagram, Facebook or Email, and I will be glad to respond and get to know you.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not an easy way, because working on the ship was very hard. I worked without any days off for eight months. Then I had two months vacation and again eight more months of work. It was a big challenge not to give up and quit this job, but I was stronger than I thought. So, I didn’t give up and finished my contract. I was so proud of myself!

Also, to create the course “English in 2 months” and automize the learning process for students, it was not so easy. It took me six months to create a program and make recordings of the lessons together with an American teacher (native speaker). It was also a lot of testing to get a good product. I worked on the program 14-16 hours per day for six months. But I did it… And now I am so happy to have my business and such a great product.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work, a big desire to succeed, love for people, willpower, motivation to have a better life, a lot of knowledge in finance and business management, time management, public speaking skills, and goal orientation.
