Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Steck-Aguilar.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicole. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born, raised and studied in Germany but took an internship in Miami after my last year of school. When I was here in Miami I met my future husband and got married a year later. While waiting for my immigration paperwork to go through my work permit expired and I was no longer able to get a job legally with another company until that matter was taken care of. Sensing my frustration my husband suggested that I use my education and in physical education and international hotel and event management to become an entrepreneur and start my own business. First I started teaching swimming lessons focusing on children and children with special needs. Once I established my client list we started on my second project, The Bubbly Mobile. The idea came to me because in Germany we are big on beer, and they have little Ape carts modified to dispense beer all over but when I came here I didn’t see a single one around south Florida, so I was inspired to fill the void. We found a 1960’s Cushman truckster and converted it into The Bubbly Mobile.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like any new adventure, it has come with its challenges. Between getting permits, promoting and trying to find our niche the road has been anything but smooth and I had times when I felt like This whole thing was a mistake and wanted to quit. I remind myself daily that nothing good comes easy and keep working at it every day.
Please tell us about your company.
The Bubbly Mobile is more than just that converted Cushman truckster. It’s a whole experience. We get to know our clients, talk to them find out what the vision for their event is and make sure that it meets or surpasses their expectations by Recreating that vision and that feeling you asked for. WE worry about your party and guest so you don’t have to, all you do as the client is enjoy your event. What makes me proud of as a company is the joy and excitement our client experience because of The Bubbly Mobile. We know your event is important to you and if you have a bad experience that day because of who you hire to plan and run your event, no amount of sorry or refunds will bring back that important day’s experience. That day is gone forever. With 30years combined in the service industry, what sets us apart from the rest is our dedication to our clients having nothing but a memorable experience from the second you contact us with any questions.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Many things. Most importantly I would change our mentality on starting a business. Me and my husband I believed in what we’re doing so we dove head first into the business by quitting our full-time jobs and expecting a huge client list from day one, Wrong! I don’t know if that set us back or slowed down our progress, but it did cause a lot of fights and frustration in the early days. We’d keep our day jobs for the first few months if we had to do it again.
