Meet Nick Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Garcia.

Nick, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started rapping in the 6th grade because my older brother used to rap and you know how it goes with older siblings you just want to copy everything they do and then it just came naturally to me & I would take it to school and the local mall “dolphin mall to be exact” and I would battle other artist and that’s what made me better as an artist & confident because I was ready to confront anyone & anything after dropping out of high school at 9th grade which I’m not proud of I decided to take my music career serious but I didn’t until around the end of 2018 I saved up all the money I had to pay for features from a few established artists to get my name out there & pay for actual production from actual producers & not YouTube beats after that I dropped my album King of Kendall and I’ve gotten many mix reactions behind it but the meaning behind king of Kendall is that I’m repping where I’m truly from and I’m not trying to be something I’m not or pretend to be like I’m from the ghetto when I’m truly from Kendall and I just finished dropping my fourth album “GARCIA” I dedicated it to my Abuelo Enrique Garcia who passed away of stage 4 cancer this September because if it wasn’t for him taking the risk of leaving Cuba to come to the united states there wouldn’t even be a King of Kendall.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One thing I will say nothing happens overnight I guess the struggles along the way would be feeling like if your going to make it in this music industry or not but I’ve realized you can’t overthink things you just got to go with the flow and make the best of things even when they aren’t going good.

Tell us about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I’m authentic and I’m not trying to be something I’m not what you see is what you get.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It for sure had to be when I went to California in 2018 & I recorded a few songs out there it just felt amazing to me that I was able to travel halfway across the country to make music that I love.
