Today we’d like to introduce you to Moe Bennett.
Moe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hanging out with my friends in New York, I was always the one with a camera capturing moments that I knew would last forever. I moved to Miami and found myself with a lot of free time. I went to the beach with my camera and started taking shots of girls walking around with their friends. One day a young lady that I had just photographed told me that I had an eye for composure and that I should really start doing it full time. With that said, I learned Photoshop on YouTube and started focusing on Glamour photography. I do boutique work and model shoots. My camera has taken me to Santorini, Greece, Canada, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and of course back to New York.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Until you start working with Popular models, no one really wants to give you a shot. I definitely had to pay my dues to be able to work with some most popular girls on Social Media.
What else should our readers know?
I take pride in bringing the client’s vision to life.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Working with a model that wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount of money to shoot when I had first started. We met up again years later through a mutual friend and ended up collaborating together on a shoot. To this day, I don’t think she realizes that she once wanted me to pay her a grip just to shoot.
