Meet Mitra Javadi of Curated Saga in Wynwood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mitra Javadi.

Mitra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m originally from Stockholm in Sweden and moved to New York about six years ago to take my degree in Fashion Management. When I graduated, I, by coincidence met my business partner who works in hospitality, we did an event together that went great so he had me join his team. With time we wanted to build a sister agency to the one we already had that was more focused on Creative Direction and Production for hospitality and that’s how Curated Saga was born. With existing clients and new ones, we grew very fast and are today curating events, PR, branding and production for clients all over the world while I’m based in Miami and New York.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not, but I also liked it that way. It taught me a lot of lessons that wouldn’t have made me as experienced as I am today. I was also very lucky to have a business partner and best friend as a mentor who had way more experience than me, he took me under his wings and learned me so much. It wasn’t easy, a lot of tears and working on 0 sleep but it is as they say hard work pays off. And it really has, and I’m so grateful for my journey.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Curated Saga – what should we know?
We are specialized in Creative Direction for hotels, meaning we do everything from design, digital marketing, strategy, traditional marketing to interior, F&B and branding. It was a tough job but I love it. There is nothing more powerful than watching your vision come to life. We also work with a lot of restaurants and brands, where we do PR, branding, consulting, etc. We have a very strong team that is equipped for basically anything in the marketing and sales world.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Generosity and humbleness. I feel like hierarki is dead. I remember when I met Tommy (my business partner) I was thinking, why me, I was fresh out of college, he always believed so much in me and talked so highly of me which made me more inspired to work harder, and then also becoming that vision that he had of me. I will always carry that with me and try to do that for others as well.
