Today we’d like to introduce you to Mercy Martinez.
Mercy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, my story started way back when unbeknown to me I opened the door towards a journey I had not written in my list of goals. I had just finished my Masters in Human Resources while working as a telecommunication engineer in BellSouth. After finishing my Master I was ready to leave BellSouth and explore being a Human Resource Consultant working with different companies to assist in their Executive training and coaching.
Then a course on Hypnotherapy piqued my curiosity and after completing a year-long training decided to open my private consultation on Coaching and Hypnotherapy. So instant of going into another corporate job I decided to become an entrepreneur or what now is being called solopreneur.
As I started my practice I realized a had an innate ability to guide my clients to deep transformation by just sharing stories and honoring their stories. Very quickly I started to hear the same feedback from my clients: “your energy is so smooth and safe”, “I hadn’t told anyone this but I feel I can share this with you as you make me feel safe”.
I slowly started to realized I had an innate ability to put people at ease and it was very natural for me to share with them in a format that was more informal. My clients described it as “it feels I am sitting beside a good friend that is open to listen to me and allow me to see the answers to my problems that I already had within me”
Before I knew it I started to create unique workshops on topics that uplifted and empower the participants with exercises that were simple yet transformative and a very subtle way. Five years ago I designed a process I call “Empower Your Amazing Life Story” in which it can be given on private one-on-one sessions or as a workshop or as a retreat. The whole process guides the person to look within their own life story to uncover the many hidden treasures that are buried within each experience and memory.
Empower Your Amazing Life Story process is akin to discovering your scriptwriter, producer, actor, editor, light coordinator, stage coordinator, etc of your own movie. And like any movie when the script is put into action there are many edits due to different reasons. When you look back at the notes in the script of why a scene was changed or edit it guides you to understand better the end product.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road is never smooth, but it surely has been like an adventure in which when I resisted the explorations were disastrous, and when I was open to the flow of the unknown, the experiences became joyful. The journey took me from self-worth issues to honoring each of my life’s decisions because I discovered within each of my choices, I had gain priceless treasures. By the end of this self-discovery journey, I was able to stand on my power and ultimately embrace the totality of who I am and, most importantly, my whole life story!
The process Empower Your Amazing Life Story came from my journey of struggles and discoveries. It started with a simple picture of me when I was two years old, and as I looked at the picture, I found myself experiencing a life review where the two-year-old me guided me to honor and discover the many treasures I had hidden within my life story. At the core of my being is my true passion for sharing with others every treasure that has helped me in my journey. Empower Your Amazing Life Story is a process where I share all the knowledge I have gain from my studies and my experiences. I share with my clients how they can reach the highest peaks or goals in life while navigating the unknown and becoming comfortable having a more open and flexible view of their life’s goals.

My business is a Professional Coaching Services with a vision towards helping the individual create a well-balanced, healthy and happy life. I do also do Motivational workshops, events, and retreats with the purpose of inspiring people to reach the highest potentials.
I specialized in guiding people to uncover the hidden treasures, activate them and empower their life. Although there are many others doing similar work my uniqueness is the process I created called Empower Your Amazing Life Story.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In a world that is becoming more and more complex, what I have recently learned is best to see the open horizon with a watchful eye to what opportunities are opening without restricting your 5-10 years plan to a limited plan.
So if I am candid, I will say that since 2019, I started to navigate the unknown of what is to come with a more adventurous attitude like an explorer — full of curiosity and desire to uncover what has not shown yet. The shifts, changes, or trends, be it small or big, are for certain on the horizon how they will manifest is the wonderment of life.
